00:00Game number four yesterday in the Motor City between the Knicks and the Pistons.

00:04Very close in game number three.

00:06A big night from Carl Anthony Towns leads New York to a 2-1 series lead.

00:11The Knicks enter game four, though, as a slight two, two-and-a-half point road underdog against Detroit.

00:17The Knicks win outright in a low-scoring game, 94-93.

00:21Not just a low-scoring affair, DRS, but a controversial one at that.

00:26In the closing seconds of regulation, Detroit down by one.

00:30Cade Cunningham, a shot from around the free-throw line, was not good.

00:34Battle for a loose ball on the rebound.

00:37Ends up in the left corner, right in front of New York's bench, into Detroit's Tim Hardaway's hands.

00:43He goes up for a shot, contacted by Josh Hart.

00:47No whistle on the floor, shot no good.

00:49New York comes away with the rebound in a game four victory to take that commanding 3-1 series lead.

00:55And yet, after the game, the officiating crew, admitting that they missed the call on Josh Hart, should have been called a foul,

01:04should have allowed Tim Hardaway Jr. three free-throw attempts to put Detroit in front and give the Pistons a win.

01:11A missed call, a missed opportunity.

01:13New York wins game number four, 94-93, outright as a two-point dog.

01:19Yeah, Knicks came back in the fourth quarter.

01:21Big shot-making.

01:22Jalen Brunson, I think, came into the fourth quarter with under 20 points.

01:24He finished his game with 32.

01:25Carl Anthony Towns making three after three after three in big moments there in the fourth quarter to bring them back for that victory.

01:32But let's understand this, too.

01:33Like, I do respect the game here for Tim Hardaway Jr.

01:36You know, 4-13 from the three-point line.

01:38That's what he does.

01:39He's a three-point shooter.

01:40At the end of that game, when you shoot that final three-point shot, you've got to wind up in the third row to force that referee's hand.

01:46Because, clear, it was a foul.

01:48But the ref might not have a good look at it.

01:50But there was no real reaction at the end for Tim Hardaway Jr., except for, like, bouncing a little bit to the left off the court.

01:56You end up in the stands, like, behind it and tumble back.

01:59You will be at the free-throw line.

02:01You will knock down two of those shots.

02:02And you would win the ball game at that point.

02:04Not his fault.

02:05He got fouled and did the right thing trying to go up and make contact, which he did, and still try to get the three-point shot off.

02:10But, again, if I'm him, I wind up in the third row, and the Pistons have a win in that game.

02:15A quick little shot fake from Tim Hardaway Jr. to draw Josh Hart up into the air and get that contact.

02:22I also think DRSU's probably just trying to make the shot, so not trying to be theatrical in responding to the contact.

02:30Either way, a missed call admitted by the NBA, admitted by the officiating crew almost immediately after the game.

02:37It'll always have an asterisk, if you will, but New York, in the overall scheme of things, wins 94-93.

02:45Jalen Brunson, as DRS mentioned, with another 32-point game.

02:49He has had 30-plus in every single game, all four against the Pistons.

02:54Carl Anthony Towns, 27-9 yesterday for Detroit.

02:59The Pistons trailed by as many as 15 early in that second quarter, DRS.

03:03They ended the opening half on a rally to cut it to a seven-point deficit at the break.

03:08They came out guns blazing in that third quarter to draw even and even take that fourth-quarter lead before New York rallied once again.

03:17This has been an awesome series.

03:19We have seen some ebbs and some flows from both teams.

03:23Ultimately, though, the Knicks, a 3-1 series advantage.

03:26Everybody in Detroit has every right to be damn pissed on this Monday morning.

03:32A game stolen from you by the officiating.

03:35Ultimately, the Knicks up 3-1.

03:38The Knicks, a minus 4,000 favorite DRS to win this opening round set.

03:43We head back to Madison Square Garden for game number five.

03:47Do the Pistons have a chance of staving off elimination and returning to Motown?

03:51I mean, they do because they've played some decent basketball here in the series as far.

03:56But that's another one of those where let me test that coaching staff.

04:00Game number one, they blew that game.

04:01They should have been up 1-0.

04:02And they actually had a great performance in game number two in the Garden.

04:05So if we're just going off recency bias and how the Detroit Pistons have gathered themselves after a devastating loss,

04:11I expect a pretty good performance.

04:12But understand this.

04:13It's a closeout situation.

04:15Madison Square Garden is going to be rumbling and shaking for that game,

04:19waiting for them to advance in that game, and probably another big game out of Brunson,

04:23shooting 25-plus times from the floor.

04:25I do think the Pistons can be competent in this game and can win.

04:28But, boy, that's a tough task.

04:30Two times in this series where you should have came away with victories.

04:32You came away with losses.

04:33Can they rebound again?

04:35Just a force of game number six.
