Elgin City striker Dajon Golding speaks about his incredible solo goal against Stranraer.

00:00Hey Deshaun, you're in the playoffs, but let's talk about that goal first of all.

00:04Is that the best goal of your career?

00:06Probably up there, yeah, it was a good goal.

00:10But yeah, most importantly, happy to secure that playoff spot and push on, so yeah.

00:15Well, it needed a bit of magic, obviously, something special sometimes when you need a result.

00:19You're already 1-0 up, talk me through the goal, because you won the ball,

00:23you won possession deep in your own half.

00:25Yeah, I won it just outside the box, carried the ball.

00:27So, Gaffa's been on me this season to just keep carrying the ball forward and be direct.

00:34Obviously, rode off a few challenges, got past three of them,

00:37and then once I was through and gone, I knew what I was going to do with it.

00:41There's no question you were going to pass then?

00:43No, no, no chance, no chance.

00:45It's been a bit frustrating at times this season.

00:47I felt like I could have had more of them moments,

00:50but just trying to put myself in a situation where I make quick and sharp decisions,

00:54and today was an example of it.

00:57Well, at the moment, when they were down just in this area of the park here,

01:00actually, right down here, there was three guys around you.

01:02What was going through your mind then?

01:04Just keep the ball, and then once I've chopped the first one,

01:07I've realised, okay, cool, there's a bit of space around me,

01:10even though it was quite tight to manipulate the ball and get out the other side,

01:14and then came off, and then, yeah, just one-on-one with another guy,

01:18and then chucked him inside and scored.

01:19So, yeah, I'm happy to score, but most importantly, getting there and play a spot.

01:23Ideally, I wanted to win the league being here,

01:26but I know that we've got enough quality, we've got enough desire,

01:29and enough know-how to put us all the way through, so bring it on, man.

01:34Do you feel like you're just hitting for them at the right time,

01:37and then, you know, the crucial part of the season?

01:38Yeah, yeah, I feel like this whole season, I feel like I've had good games

01:41throughout the whole season.

01:43It's just, especially of someone who's come in with a lot of expectations,

01:47sometimes bringing myself a bit back down to earth,

01:51cancelling out the noise and just doing what I do,

01:54which at times has been a bit tough.

01:57New environments, obviously.

01:58Living up here on my own, being away with my family and friends and that.

02:03But, no, I'm just happy to contribute and just keep going.

02:06So, yeah, these games where it's kind of all or nothing,

02:08big games, I thrive in them, those are my favourite games.

02:11So, yeah, number four, we've got one more game left,

02:14but then we're eyes on trying to get this club promoted.
