Prince Royce chatted with Billboard’s Jessica Roiz ahead of Billboard Latin Women in Music 2025.

00:11You know, I had a man bun before, but it was time to bring it back.

00:14It's a crazy growing process.

00:16It's annoying, so I'm going to have to rock it out for a little bit.

00:17But we're celebrating women tonight.

00:20You know, celebrating the beautiful women in the music industry

00:22that have been working hard on and off the stage.

00:26My fan base, as you guys may know, is majority women.

00:29So definitely got to show love just for all they do.

00:33And, you know, my mom, you know, is a very powerful, independent woman

00:38that I feel she's very strong.

00:39So definitely that's what it's all about today.

00:41Before we talk about your new music that you have,

00:45you have collaborated with three of our honorees tonight.

00:52What have you learned working with these women?

00:55I think it's a very, I don't know if different,

00:59but it's definitely a very different recording process

01:03or way of writing or way of thinking as a girl

01:06that sometimes as a man you don't really see until you see them work.

01:10And I think it's just, I think it's great when I'm in the studio with them

01:14to see just a perspective of a woman that you don't really see too much

01:18or I don't get to see too much in the studio

01:20because usually like all of my producers and songwriters are usually men.

01:24So I think it's great to always see otra perspectiva,

01:26like just another perspective of a singer, of a songwriter.

01:30And I think we're seeing more and more women nowadays in the studio,

01:34not just singing, but also writing, producing in the industry,

01:38female lawyers as well.

01:40So definitely I'm seeing more and more women in the industry.

01:50this part of this conceptual album that's coming out.

01:53Concept album I've been wanting to do for a long time,

01:55passion project, How Deep Is Your Love was the first single by the Bee Gees.

01:58I got so many other records coming in.

02:04But May 16th, Sale Eterno, which the name Eterno,

02:07just eternal, songs that I feel last a lifetime.

02:10I think as an artist, that's what we always want,

02:11like just to make timeless music.

02:14So that's what this passion project is about.

03:56She said that when she first came to this country,

03:58she would listen to all these songs

03:59at a factory that she worked at.

04:06So, definitely, I hope that this album

04:08could bring some nostalgia

04:09and some great memories to everyone.
