00:00So we're here in Bearwood and we're here with Noah's Art and it's your baby isn't it Noah's Art?
00:05My little haven, my little treasure.
00:07What's your name?
00:08Sarah, Sarah Dib.
00:10And how long has Noah's Art been going then Sarah?
00:13Since 2014 so 11 years.
00:16And where does the name come from Noah's Art?
00:19Noah's Art comes from when I was pregnant with our firstborn Noah and I wanted a little play on words
00:26and I wanted Noah to be at the centre of the business and the heart.
00:31Because it's fair to say you had a tough ordeal didn't you through that pregnancy?
00:35Yeah so at 20 weeks scan we had some quite scary times which sent my mental health declining.
00:47So I turned to crafting.
00:50That was it, it was just like an escape wasn't it initially?
00:52Yeah this is my therapy.
00:54Yeah.
00:54This is how I relax and it brings me so much happiness.
01:00So you kind of expanded from the upstairs back room to you taking over what was the dining room?
01:06Yeah I was in the box room upstairs, the spare room.
01:10It started to expand like quite quickly and this was the dining room which we didn't really use to be honest.
01:18Yeah.
01:19Family life was bonkers.
01:21So at what point did you think, hang on this is going from a hobby and turning into a business?
01:26Was it, didn't you have friends kind of saying oh I like what you make, you make me one?
01:30Yeah and on Facebook you know a lot of personal Facebook page, I just started making button frames for Noah's bedroom because I wanted Noah's bedroom to be like all handmade by family.
01:44So my auntie made curtains, curtains, my mum made some little toys, bedding, lampshade, it was all like handmade and personal to us all.
01:58Yeah.
01:58If I was going to ask you what sort of products do you make or can you make then, it's quite a vast range.
02:05Talk us through some of the stuff that you make.
02:07So my best sellers are the wooden blocks which can be personalised to any name or text and that can be in any colours with any designs on, whichever suits the theme.
02:21Yeah.
02:22And where you want it to.
02:24And these bailed signs.
02:27I like those, yeah they're cool.
02:28Those too.
02:29And obviously you can do those for anywhere, you know Wolverhampton.
02:32Any location.
02:34So I've got a personalised me one here and I can be hung.
02:40And you sell these at craft fairs.
02:45Oh yeah, great stuff, cool.
02:47And you do craft fairs, there's a month for your craft fair in Wally Woods.
02:51Yeah, so it's the first Sunday of every month.
02:55It's at Wally Woods, 11 till 3 and it runs from March till December.
03:01And what is it you get out of crafting then?
03:03Is it kind of that focus in the mind, you find it relaxing or?
03:08Um, it's really benefited my mental health.
03:12I suffer with my nerves and anxiety quite a lot.
03:16And it helps me escape my mind.
03:21And if people want to find out kind of a bit more about the products they can order from you, how does it work?
03:28How do they get hold of you?
03:29Have you got an online shop?
03:30I've got a Facebook page and I've got an Instagram.
03:34So you can just send me a little message, inbox.
03:36Yeah, and it's all about personalisation, isn't it?
03:39You've got key rings, you even do a bit of wedding gifts and wedding, what sort of wedding stuff do you do?
03:45So I've got wedding acrylic sign packages.
03:49Yeah.
03:50And they can be personalised to the wedding theme or to suit the couple.
03:55You can either have a full-on acrylic package or just little bits like table numbers or anything that you'd like.
04:03But we can talk together and create a whole package bespokely for you.
04:08Cool. So what does Noah, does he appreciate that the business is named after him?
04:13Was he a bit of that teenage age where he doesn't really?
04:17He gets a little bit, I'm not embarrassed.
04:20Yeah.
04:20And I think he does say that he's proud of me, which means a lot.
04:26Yeah.
04:26And you have the little cat, is it Arnold comes and sits in here, keeps you company.
04:30We've seen him milling about.
04:32While the boys are at school, I'll sit and do my orders in here and Arnold is usually on a table somewhere next to me.
04:40Yeah, yeah.
04:42And you've got your hubster, what's his name?
04:44Andrew, so we've been married for 11 years.
04:47And he does the lugging, the heavy work.
04:49Yeah, honestly, I could not do any of this without him.
04:52Yeah.
04:53And then the other little lads, Jacob.
04:55Jacob.
04:56Cool, so it's a bit of a family affair.
04:58Yeah.
04:58We make some lovely stuff, so if people want to find out more, if they get online and Noah's Art, based here in Bairwood, guys.
05:06Thank you for letting us into your little sanctuary.
