00:00Evening Saddlers fans and inside the best got where Walsall have just fallen to their first defeat of pre-season with a 3-2 loss against championship side Derby County and the Saddlers led twice in the first half to lead 2-1 at the break with goals from Vincent Harper and Johnny Stuttle, their first goals in Walsall colours and they took the lead in the 11th minute.

00:52I think it really on a plate for the diminutive Vincent Harper to guide his header across Derby County goalkeeper Josh Vickers and into the far top corner.
01:06And Walsall played well in the first half, a really good performance off the ball, some good football played.
01:12Presley, Presley, also had a chance from distance which he blazed wide of the target.
01:21Charlie Lakin also blasted a free kick over the crossbar.
01:25Derby equalised six minutes before the restart.
01:30Caden Jackson broke behind the Walsall defence and slotted into the far bottom corner.
01:34But Johnny Stuttle restored Walsall's lead on the cusp of half-time.
01:40He caught Danny Barth dwelling on the ball, closed him down, pickpocketed him, picked his head up and delivered a composed finish into the bottom corner.
01:52A lot of changes in that second half.
01:54Priestley Farkerson played the first 45.
01:57Aidan Flint, the new signing, 36-year-old, came on at half-time.
02:05But it was Derby who came back in that second half, although Walsall did have their chances.
02:09Jamie Jealous denied by Vickers, his scuff finish.
02:13And then Courtney Clark was also denied by the Derby goalkeeper.
02:16But Derby shuffled their pack, introduced a lot of youngsters for the final 20 minutes.
02:21Romain Sawyers was also involved for Walsall, still on trial with the club.
02:27But yeah, as I say, it was Derby who got back into the game just past the hour mark.
02:31Blackett Taylor was taken down inside the box by Courtney Clark and converted from the spot.
02:39And after that, it was substitute Charles Ibuka.
02:45The ball was knocked down at the back post and he was there to convert from inside the six-yard box.
02:51So yeah, a 3-2 defeat for Walsall here.
