00:00You guys, I just had the literal best day ever. I have to share with you guys a little bit about what I bought and just fill you in on the amazing day I had.
00:10So if you're a Christian, this probably is going to be really cool for you because I'm a Christian and today was so meaningful.
00:19So I went to St. George Church where the freaking Ark of the Covenant is, you guys. If you're a Christian, then that means something to you.
00:30Ark of the Covenant is so important to the Christian faith and it's housed here in Ethiopia.
00:37I couldn't even film inside, you guys. I was bawling my eyes out crying just being in the presence.
00:44It was beautiful. I had to take my shoes off. I had to cover my hair because they consider it sacred ground. Amazing.
00:53And so if you guys don't know about Ethiopia, I want to tell you guys a little bit about how amazing Ethiopia is.
00:59Ethiopia has one of the oldest Bibles in the world. It has all 81 books. I'm just reading from the facts because I want to make sure I'm being correct here.
01:08It has all 81 books, especially in the Protestant faith in the United States.
01:16So a book that has all 81 and I know, I know you're saying it's in Aramaic, but it's easy enough for me to use Google Translate.
01:25And I also bought a dictionary so that I can translate, which is actually more meaningful to me because this is the language that Jesus spoke.
01:32So this, I ended up getting two Bibles. There were so many to choose from.
01:36This was one of the first Bibles ever printed, you guys. It's fragile. It's old. I'm not going to use this.
01:43I'm going to find somewhere to put it. I'm going to keep it safe forever.
01:47It's very fragile, but this is a beautiful Aramaic Bible.
01:54I just can't even, you guys. And this has got the 81 books. Just beautiful.
01:59And I already was doing a little Google Translate and I already started crying because, I don't know, this stuff is just so meaningful to me.
02:07I also, some of the books in the Ethiopian Bible aren't found in any other Bible in the world.
02:15I'm sorry.
02:16Hi.
02:23Good.
02:25Yeah, maybe.
02:26I just had room service delivered.
02:32I got traditional Ethiopian, this is beef tibs with the injera.
02:38The way I'm about to tear this up, but I just want to quickly show you guys.
02:42Post-it notes. I've got a bunch of pens.
02:45I'm very much prepared to do the deep studying so I can understand this Bible.
02:51I was already reading Isaiah 41 and it's so different, you guys.
02:56From the Protestant, typical NIV, ESV Bibles that we have in the U.S.
03:01And I was literally reading Isaiah 41 and I was crying.
03:05Of course, I'm translating word by word, but it's just so much more meaningful.
03:09This is the language Jesus spoke.
03:12You guys, okay, I have to calm down because I'm just, and this is strictly, this is too fragile to use.
03:21And this one was a lot more expensive because of how old it is and really not meant to be used.
03:28So, I'm going to just keep this somewhere safe.
03:31Also, pics were invented in Ethiopia.
03:35How cool are these?
03:35These are some of the first pics.
03:37Of course, they painted them, which is a bit touristy, but these are how they made pics.
03:42Pics for your afro were literally invented here in Ethiopia.
03:47You guys, when you come to Ethiopia, if you come to Ethiopia, if you've never been, you will learn.
03:51And almost everything started here.
03:53Guitars started here.
03:55Bibles freaking started here.
03:56Pics started here.
03:59So, beautiful.
04:02I got these pics.
04:03These are some of the first pics that, you know, this is how they made them, which these started literally were made in Ethiopia.
04:11They're from Ethiopia, so that was really cool.
04:14I got a case for my Bible.
04:17This goes like this in here, so.
04:21And if you're wondering, this Bible was $100.
04:24This one was $150.
04:26But there was all different prices, ranging from like $25 to like $600.
04:33I also got some gold-plated brass bracelets.
04:38All the girls wear them here, so I was like, I'm getting some.
04:41You guys, I'm hungry.
04:44I just want to let you know, I also got some more stuff, but I'm going to show you guys.
04:48Make sure you tune in to tomorrow's vlog.
04:49Tomorrow, the vlog is going to come out, so have your notifications on.
04:53I just wanted to touch base and tell you guys what the deal, what the spiel was, because I'm in Ethiopia, and I was too excited.
05:03I couldn't wait for the vlog.
05:04I had to tell you guys about my Bible.
05:06I had to show you because I'm going to scream.
05:09I've never been so excited about something I've bought, and I've never felt like anything's been more meaningful.
05:14Like I said, I got injura and beef tibs yummers.
05:18I actually ate that today when we went out.
05:21And oh yeah, I got honey wine.
05:22I'm going to show you.
05:23You guys, I got honey wine.
05:27If you don't know about honey wine, it is a popular wine here in Ethiopia.
05:32They ferment honey for hours and hours and hours, and it literally picks up an alcohol content because of how long they ferment it.
05:40And so you guys know I'm not an alcohol drinker, but when they were telling me the benefits of honey wine, I'm like, put some in a bottle, baby.
05:46I want some.
05:47They were saying, if you take one sip a day, it will never make you drunk.
05:50It'll make your skin glow.
05:52It is so good for your immune system.
05:54It'll make your hair shiny.
05:56It'll make your skin grow like crazy.
05:58And I believe the Ethiopians because they're freaking beautiful, you guys.
06:02You'll never get sick.
06:03So I ordered some, and I'm like, baby, put some in a bottle because the way I'm going to be sipping on this, I'll take a swig every morning.
06:09But, of course, I don't drink alcohol, so I'm not going to drink it like a drink.
06:13But I'll take, like, a sip every morning until it's gone, you know what I mean?
06:17But, yeah, it's so good.
06:19And if you come to Ethiopia, try the honey wine.
06:22I'm in heaven.
06:23Okay.
06:24I'm so excited to visit the surrounding countries.
06:27I'll be heading to Djibouti and Somalia and Eritrea, which are very closely connected to Ethiopia soon.
06:33And I definitely need help.
06:34If you are somebody who is a part of this channel and you know I'm trying to visit every country in Africa, I'm trying to visit every country in Africa, you guys.
06:44Every single one this year.
06:46So I'm just going to keep going to the next one.
06:47And it's so beautiful to learn about all the cultures going on here.
06:51But I'm going to drop a bomb.
06:54Ethiopia is my favorite African country.
06:55I'm sorry.
