My name's Isaac Usain Bivaraja.
00:03
Perfect, perfect.
00:04
And you've got quite a unique copy in a way.
00:07
You've always got your own published books.
00:08
So, yeah, what type of books do you write?
00:10
It would be like suspense and sci-fi kind of books.
00:14
Ah, okay. Interesting.
00:15
And what's the book you've got in front of us here?
00:18
The Guardians of the Universe.
00:20
Ah, okay.
00:21
And that's something that you've kind of...
00:23
A storyline that you've created yourself.
00:24
Yes, like, it's not really by myself.
00:26
So I have a cousin who kind of helps with...
00:29
He's, like, the same age to me.
00:30
He's called Muhammad.
00:31
Right.
00:31
And he helps with the books a lot.
00:33
So he can give me some ideas and I write it.
00:36
Ah, okay.
00:36
So it's kind of like a collaboration thing.
00:37
So maybe he kind of comes up with ideas and you do the writing.
00:40
Mm-hmm.
00:41
Yeah, do you want to tell us a little bit about the plots?
00:43
And, yeah, how do you get your ideas from?
00:45
So I kind of get my ideas from, like, kind of, like, TV shows that are similar
00:49
and, like, books that are similar.
00:52
So there's not much books that are similar to it, though.
00:54
Yeah, okay.
00:55
Interesting.
00:55
Yeah, so what kind of your influences?
00:57
You say TV shows?
00:57
What gives you good ideas?
00:59
It's, like, Star Wars kind of thing because it's, like, sci-fi.
01:02
Okay.
01:03
And it's kind of...
01:04
It's pretty similar.
01:05
Nice.
01:05
Is that one of your favourite Star Wars?
01:06
Is that one?
01:07
Not really.
01:07
It used to be.
01:08
It used to be.
01:09
Ah, okay.
01:09
What sort of things do you watch now?
01:11
Ah, Harry Potter and stuff like that.
01:13
Ah, okay.
01:14
Do you think that's going to be influencing some of your ideas in the future?
01:17
Yeah.
01:17
Yeah?
01:18
Because I was going to write a book that was a bit like Harry Potter, but I scrapped that idea.
01:22
Yeah.
01:22
Because I had a lot of ideas, I think.
01:24
I'm currently working on another book.
01:26
It's, like, three short, scary stories.
01:30
Okay.
01:30
And it's all going to be, like, one book.
01:33
Ah, okay.
01:34
Interesting.
01:35
And obviously, yeah, as you can see, we've got, like, a bit of a prototype of one of
01:39
your writing novels.
01:41
Yeah, so how did you go about publishing them?
01:43
So, I was, like, such...
01:44
I was always wanting to, like, publish my book ever since, like...
01:47
I got this one homework from my, like...
01:49
My first piece of homework was a writing thing, and I didn't want to do it, and then
01:53
I just did it.
01:54
And then I really liked writing, and then I'd just write as a hobby from then.
01:57
Okay.
01:58
And then I'd just...
01:59
I'd write stuff like this.
02:01
I got my hobby when I was about six.
02:03
I wrote this one when I was seven.
02:05
Right.
02:05
So, when I, like, got a bit older, I typed it, and then I was, like, I need...
02:11
I want to publish this.
02:12
And I was emailing, like, publishers, but they never got back to me.
02:16
And then, about a year later, when I was turned 10, I was, like, maybe there might be,
02:21
like, some self-publishing websites, and I searched it up, and I found Amazon KDP,
02:26
and they, like, would, like, publish it for me.
02:30
Ah, okay.
02:30
Interesting.
02:31
I understand there's a bit of a story there as well.
02:33
Yeah.
02:33
But your parents didn't know that you were doing that.
02:35
Yeah.
02:36
Shall we tell us a little bit about what happened there?
02:39
Yeah.
02:39
So, I would just wake up, and then I would just write it, and then one day I just, like,
02:43
searched up, oh, self-publishing, because I'd read, like, an article about self-publishing,
02:49
and I was, like, I might be able to, like, publish my book with this.
02:52
And then it was in the morning where I was still asleep.
02:56
I woke up, like, six that day.
02:57
And I was just trying to publish it for a whole day.
03:01
Okay.
03:01
Was you in a bit of trouble, or was it okay?
03:04
Yes.
03:06
So, is it something you want to keep doing?
03:09
Is it something you want to do for a career?
03:11
Maybe you keep writing stories and become an artist?
03:13
Yeah.
03:13
Oh, interesting, interesting.
03:16
And have you got, yeah, how can people access?
03:17
How can people get your books?
03:18
So, if they search on Amazon, my name, Isaac Raja, I-S-S-A-C-H-V-E-T-H-A-R-A-J-A-H.
03:30
Yeah.
03:31
And then they'll, like, find some of my books.
03:34
I've made a book where it's, like, about this, but it's, like, loads of short stories,
03:40
about ten short stories.
03:41
And there's about five other books.
03:46
Perfect.
03:46
Are you currently writing any more at the moment?
03:48
Yeah, I'm writing a prequel, actually.
03:50
Because it's, like, the story, it begins, like, of this book, it begins, like, quite far
03:57
into the timeline.
03:58
Right.
03:58
So, it needs, like, a prequel so you can understand better.
04:01
Nice.
04:02
And do you enjoy, kind of, the whole world-building aspect of it?
04:04
Yeah.
04:05
That's nice.
04:07
Perfect.
04:08
Yeah.
04:08
Because, like, with writing, you can do whatever you want.
04:10
Like, there's no limits.
04:11
Yeah.
04:11
Gato.
04:12
Gato.
04:14
Gato.
