00:04And you've got quite a unique copy in a way.

00:07You've always got your own published books.

00:08So, yeah, what type of books do you write?

00:10It would be like suspense and sci-fi kind of books.

00:14Ah, okay. Interesting.

00:15And what's the book you've got in front of us here?

00:18The Guardians of the Universe.

00:20Ah, okay.

00:21And that's something that you've kind of...

00:23A storyline that you've created yourself.

00:24Yes, like, it's not really by myself.

00:26So I have a cousin who kind of helps with...

00:29He's, like, the same age to me.

00:30He's called Muhammad.

00:31Right.

00:31And he helps with the books a lot.

00:33So he can give me some ideas and I write it.

00:36Ah, okay.

00:36So it's kind of like a collaboration thing.

00:37So maybe he kind of comes up with ideas and you do the writing.

00:40Mm-hmm.

00:41Yeah, do you want to tell us a little bit about the plots?

00:43And, yeah, how do you get your ideas from?

00:45So I kind of get my ideas from, like, kind of, like, TV shows that are similar

00:49and, like, books that are similar.

00:52So there's not much books that are similar to it, though.

00:54Yeah, okay.

00:55Interesting.

00:55Yeah, so what kind of your influences?

00:57You say TV shows?

00:57What gives you good ideas?

00:59It's, like, Star Wars kind of thing because it's, like, sci-fi.

01:02Okay.

01:03And it's kind of...

01:04It's pretty similar.

01:05Nice.

01:05Is that one of your favourite Star Wars?

01:06Is that one?

01:07Not really.

01:07It used to be.

01:09What sort of things do you watch now?

01:11Ah, Harry Potter and stuff like that.

01:13Ah, okay.

01:14Do you think that's going to be influencing some of your ideas in the future?

01:17Yeah.

01:17Yeah?

01:18Because I was going to write a book that was a bit like Harry Potter, but I scrapped that idea.

01:22Yeah.

01:22Because I had a lot of ideas, I think.

01:24I'm currently working on another book.

01:26It's, like, three short, scary stories.

01:30Okay.

01:30And it's all going to be, like, one book.

01:33Ah, okay.

01:34Interesting.

01:35And obviously, yeah, as you can see, we've got, like, a bit of a prototype of one of

01:39your writing novels.

01:41Yeah, so how did you go about publishing them?

01:43So, I was, like, such...

01:44I was always wanting to, like, publish my book ever since, like...

01:47I got this one homework from my, like...

01:49My first piece of homework was a writing thing, and I didn't want to do it, and then

01:53I just did it.

01:54And then I really liked writing, and then I'd just write as a hobby from then.

01:57Okay.

01:58And then I'd just...

01:59I'd write stuff like this.

02:01I got my hobby when I was about six.

02:03I wrote this one when I was seven.

02:05Right.

02:05So, when I, like, got a bit older, I typed it, and then I was, like, I need...

02:11I want to publish this.

02:12And I was emailing, like, publishers, but they never got back to me.

02:16And then, about a year later, when I was turned 10, I was, like, maybe there might be,

02:21like, some self-publishing websites, and I searched it up, and I found Amazon KDP,

02:26and they, like, would, like, publish it for me.

02:30Ah, okay.

02:30Interesting.

02:31I understand there's a bit of a story there as well.

02:33Yeah.

02:33But your parents didn't know that you were doing that.

02:35Yeah.

02:36Shall we tell us a little bit about what happened there?

02:39Yeah.

02:39So, I would just wake up, and then I would just write it, and then one day I just, like,

02:43searched up, oh, self-publishing, because I'd read, like, an article about self-publishing,

02:49and I was, like, I might be able to, like, publish my book with this.

02:52And then it was in the morning where I was still asleep.

02:56I woke up, like, six that day.

02:57And I was just trying to publish it for a whole day.

03:01Okay.

03:01Was you in a bit of trouble, or was it okay?

03:04Yes.

03:06So, is it something you want to keep doing?

03:09Is it something you want to do for a career?

03:11Maybe you keep writing stories and become an artist?

03:13Yeah.

03:13Oh, interesting, interesting.

03:16And have you got, yeah, how can people access?

03:17How can people get your books?

03:30Yeah.

03:31And then they'll, like, find some of my books.

03:34I've made a book where it's, like, about this, but it's, like, loads of short stories,

03:40about ten short stories.

03:41And there's about five other books.

03:46Perfect.

03:46Are you currently writing any more at the moment?

03:48Yeah, I'm writing a prequel, actually.

03:50Because it's, like, the story, it begins, like, of this book, it begins, like, quite far

03:57into the timeline.

03:58Right.

03:58So, it needs, like, a prequel so you can understand better.

04:01Nice.

04:02And do you enjoy, kind of, the whole world-building aspect of it?

04:04Yeah.

04:05That's nice.

04:07Perfect.

04:08Because, like, with writing, you can do whatever you want.
