00:00you know we're obviously seeing rory mcelroy him and shane lowry the defending champs

00:04they're a ridiculously stupid price at plus 350 to win the entire thing uh and there's the we'll

00:10get to the rest of the field in a moment i always though start with this uh and i don't think

00:15anything different at tpc louisiana but i did hear that maybe some weather at some point over the

00:21next four days well my sources down there in louisiana in the bayou they got dumped on yesterday

00:27so the golf course is going to be soft and that's significant because at a par 72 tpc louisiana

00:32for the second week in a row a pete die design this is one of the longer ones 7 425 yards like a

00:39top 10 longest course on the pga tour so having some ball speed this week is important and when i get

00:44into the keys you know you look at they've got four par fours over 470 you got to play those an

00:50alternate shot and then you've got holes where you know what the average par three is 215 yards and

00:56three of them have water in play this is a tough golf course and when you start to put out there

01:01the format where round one yeah you know you're at your grandma's house everybody gets to play their

01:05own ball everyone's making a zillion birdies but when you go to friday and you go to sunday should

01:10you make it to the weekend i mean toughest cut probably on the pga tour you only get 33 teams

01:15through and they have what 80 teams there right i mean this thing is just packed with packed with

01:22players so a really tough cut to make and you've got to be really good in that alternate shot and

01:27you got to make short putts and sometimes you might not putt for like a hole or two in alternate shot

01:32but you got to be ready to go to make a five footer to save par or maybe make a birdie on a par five

01:36this event can be very volatile and for that reason that's why i understand a lot of guys take

01:41the week off but i look at it as like half this field there's no way they can win uh yeah i agree

01:47with you and i honestly believe that rory um i think he's here to have a good time this week and

01:52i think he's going to make sure he doesn't win so that way he doesn't have to come back next year

01:55uh i honestly think that that's in his cards this week he wants to come back and defend the title but

02:02i don't think he'd be here if he wasn't the defending champ i know he wants to play with his buddy

02:06i think plus 350 is absurd for them it's absolutely absurd and you know even some of the other shorter

02:13odds just goes to show you what you have on the bottom half of the field i don't even know if one

02:18guy in the you know of the teammates has to have a tour card i mean some of these teams i mean you're

02:23just like you're just rolling out 1997 all over again it is absolute i mean we were talking the other

02:28day on a pod about eric cole and sam saunders like where does sam saunders play you know like

02:34saunders he's not even on the cord ferry tour i mean a lot of these guys were like alex fitzpatrick

02:39you know there's nothing like brotherly love matt with the u.s open alex is here i mean i think

02:45matt's been dragging him here every year for like the last three or four years trying to get him his

02:51card i guess if he wins he gets it right if he wins the event does he get yeah so two years i mean

02:57this is the quickest way to the pga tour if you gotta like i would go out and mow one of these guys

03:02lawns and just get him to go like one of these elite players and then you win you win this event

03:07which you know i mean these are all good baseline these guys can all make a ton of birdies and they

03:12can all make a run at this thing but if you have a hot miracle week i don't know like a couple years

03:16ago like davis riley and nick hardy i mean like where even are these guys anymore right like they got two
