00:23On April 22, 2025, in what is now one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's recent history,

00:30at least 28 lives were lost in Pahlgaam.

00:32Among them, 26-year-old Lieutenant Winanarwal, an officer of the Indian Navy,

00:38a newlywed and a patriot whose life was brutally cut short.

00:55Lieutenant Winanarwal, originally from Karnal in Haryana,

00:58had taken a brief leave to holiday with his newlywed wife in Pahlgaam.

01:03Winanar and Himanshi reached Jammu and Kashmir on April 21.

01:07According to family members, the couple visited the local tourist spot where the attack occurred.

01:11Lieutenant Narwal was shot in the chest, neck and arm.

01:14He was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

01:17Posted in Kochi, the young officer had just tied the knot on April 16,

01:21with a wedding reception held on April 19.

01:28Haryana Chief Minister Nayap Singh Saini spoke to Winanar's grandfather through video call

01:32and assured the family that the state stands firmly with them in this hour of sorrow.

01:37Neighbors and locals expressed their condolences,

01:39with many describing Narwal as a young officer with a bright future.

01:43On April 22, Manish Ranjan, a section officer with the Intelligence Bureau posted in Hyderabad,

01:54was killed in Pahlgaam too.

01:56The officer was on a leave, enjoying a family vacation with his wife and two children.

02:01Squadron leader Taghe Haling, a 32-year-old Indian Air Force officer from Alnachal Pradesh,

02:06was also gunned down in the Pahlgaam attack.
