00:00Now 2018, there was an interesting story.

00:03Controversy.

00:04There was quite the controversy.

00:06I wish that Larry Martino was here.

00:09He's still scared of me.

00:11Larry Martino is still very scared of this gentleman.

00:14What is your name?

00:15Dennis Devin.

00:16Dennis, tell us where you found it and what happened.

00:20Well, the clues were all pretty good.

00:24And I told everybody I thought it was going to be northwest, way north.

00:29And then what happened was they had these photo clues.

00:34And the last photo clue was at the Silverton.

00:37And I saw it.

00:38It was a wooden post with a hole in it.

00:40And I was like, all right.

00:42So I left there and I went northwest and I just drove around and looked at 2,500 wooden poles.

00:50I'm all over.

00:51And I found a wooden pole with a hole in it.

00:54And I couldn't believe it.

00:55It was after Merrill-Charleston turnoff.

00:56Of course, I went all the way to Stateline up the Tonopah Highway.

00:59Turned around and came back.

01:00So it was the last turnoff before my house coming home.

01:04And so I called up the call.

01:06And I said, hey man, I know where it's going to be.

01:08I said, let's go sit on it.

01:09And he's like, yeah, sure, whatever.

01:11I heard this a million times.

01:12I sent him the picture and he goes, where do we want to meet?

01:15And so I said, okay, let's meet at Kyle Canyon.

01:18And I got a camouflage guilty suit for my Jeep.

01:22So we parked my Jeep way out in the desert.

01:24Couldn't even see it.

01:25As a matter of fact, we walked away from it.

01:27And then I had to use the remote to find it because we couldn't even find it when we walked back to it.

01:31So we're up there and all of a sudden his wife calls and says, honey, my car won't start.

01:36I got to get to work.

01:38Can you come home and take me to work?

01:40So we're like, all right.

01:42So we're leaving and all of a sudden we see a set of headlights coming down the road.

01:46And I'm like, dude, that's a rock coming.

01:49He goes, no, no ways.

01:51I go, well, what do we do?

01:53And the call's like, hide.

01:54I go, we can't hide here.

01:55So we just drove through the fence and drove onto the highway.

01:59And then we circled back around and we saw the truck go by.

02:03And we got down and then we just sort of hunkered down.

02:07And then we saw Larry Martino get on his flashlight.

02:10He's lighting up everything.

02:12And we're like high-fiving.

02:13We're laughing.

02:14He's videotaping the whole thing.

02:16And all of a sudden the truck, you know, I go through and he dropped it.

02:19He dropped it.

02:20And then he goes by, you know, and then we're like, okay, let's wait till his taillights.

02:24Let's wait till his taillights disappeared.

02:25So his taillights disappeared.

02:27I said, let's give him another two minutes.

02:29Give him another two minutes.

02:30He was, he was gone.

02:32So we're like, we go over there and we're like, get out of the truck.

02:36The call goes, it's right here.

02:37I mean, he's, he took my four steps and there was a rock.

02:40It was on the little side of a gravel hill.

02:42And I was like, man, I can't believe we were high-fiving.

02:45And it was, it was awesome.

02:47And all of a sudden these gang members come up and they're going to carjack us.

02:52And they come speeding up and I'm like, holy shit, man.

02:55I had a 44 mag on me.

02:56And I take out my 44.

02:57I point, I go, step out of the truck.

02:59Step out of the truck.

03:00I go, let me show it.

03:01Show me your hands.

03:02Show me your hands.

03:03Step out of the truck.

03:04And he goes, Larry Martino.

03:05Give me LZ.

03:06And I'm like, I'm like, what are you doing, man?

03:10I go, I thought you're carjacking us.

03:11Cause I told him to call.

03:12I said, I said, dude, we're getting carjacked right now, man.

03:15I go, because there was no reason for him to come back, you know?

03:20Right there.

03:21Right there.

03:22I think Larry Martino, I wrote Larry an apology letter.

03:26So, so we found a rock and a little bit of controversy.

03:31He thought we cheated.

03:32He thought I followed him from his house.

03:34I'm like, no.

03:35Cause the day before, or earlier that day, I took pictures of the post.

03:38I said, listen, his wife was like totally calm.

03:41One of the nicest.

03:42She goes, Larry, he's not lying.

03:44He was here earlier.

03:45Hit the timestamp on his photograph.

03:47He was here earlier.

03:48He found, I said, yeah, man, we're hiding out here in the desert, freezing.

03:51Cause it was freezing.

03:52And, uh, and we, and the calls like start to Jeep, man.

03:56I'm like freezing.

03:57I go, no, you'll see the exhaust.

03:58You'll see the skin coming out of the exhaust pipe.

04:00I don't want that happening.

04:01So we're just going to sit here and freeze, man.

04:03They're going to drop it.

04:04Anyway, that's my story.

04:05It was great.

04:06I know a lot of people were upset.

04:07A lot of people thought I cheated, but I did it.
