00:00Dr. Jampolsky, I know that you have a very opposite view.

00:04Why do you think it poses a risk?

00:07And how much of a risk do you think it poses?

00:10So we need to be clear about what type of AI we are talking about.

00:14AI today is a tool. It is wonderful.

00:16It helps us cure diseases. It helps us make economic progress.

00:20Absolutely no objections to narrow AI for solving specific problems.

00:25But all the companies leading labs are working on creating general AI.

00:31And quickly after super intelligence systems,

00:34they claim we'll be able to do anything any human being can do,

00:38including outsmarting individuals and humanity as a whole.

00:42That's a very different type of technology.

00:45It's not just a tool. It's an agent.

00:47We don't know how to control agents smarter than us.

00:50We have some idea on how to put filters on modern models.

00:56We can tell them don't talk about this topic or don't say that word.

01:00But absolutely no one made a claim that they have a working safety mechanism

01:05which scales to any level of capability.

01:08And we see it with evals being produced with those models.

01:12Usually they will tell us, okay, the model during testing lied.

01:16It tried to copy its own code to some other server, but it's okay.

01:20We're going to release it anyways and the next model is coming in a month.

01:24And then, this one has a core program.

01:26I know a couple of years ago, there are few messages like this.

01:28We're expecting them to do something else, because the model can be assembled.

01:30But I don't really want to know what the model can be released.

01:32I was looking at a new set and day I stopped trying to get them.

01:34I would like to blow my bike and sit down.

01:35There's also a couple of times when I go there.

01:36And what I'm doing is doing is I don't have a time.
