So we're here at the Bullshead in Gornall. We've got a football, we've got a banner.
00:06
Howdy talk, George. We've got a John Mills. Hello sir.
00:10
Hello there, how are you? I'm good and Dementia UK.
00:13
So there's the clue, there's the clue. Come on, come on, get in, get in.
00:19
So, John, what's going on? What's happening? I presume football has something to do with it.
00:24
Go on, fill us in. It's a charity football match for Dementia UK.
00:28
Yeah. Also for a good friend of mine who passed away last year, Stephen Barnes.
00:34
And was that, did he have Dementia today? No. I know you.
00:38
No, you just abuse yourself. Yeah, yeah. Drink and smoke. Yeah.
00:42
But we're all going nowhere else. Yeah. And we're meeting here at the Bullshead.
00:46
Is this kind of like a bit of a gathering for you lot? Is this where you come up with your fundraising ideas?
00:51
We already have a meeting. We already have a meeting today. Oh do you? Yeah.
00:54
What's the group called then? Have you got a name?
00:57
Yeah, I've got a name really. Too busy organising to call up your names.
01:01
Well, this is the third one we've done.
01:03
Third charity football match? Yeah.
01:05
Oh wow, okay. What, in one a year sort of thing?
01:08
It was one, then another two years, the other one, and that was for a lab down Steve Parsonage.
01:14
Oh wow, okay, okay. I've got to touch with you about that. Yeah, yeah.
01:18
You've highlighted that as well. I do believe, if I'm right John, they've raised four and a half thousand between the two matches.
01:24
Yeah. Not bad, not bad. So what's the deal? What are all these names then?
01:27
The people who have played football and local people have passed away. Yeah.
01:31
In the recent years or a few years ago.
01:34
We go back to 30, 30 years, Glen Nicklin.
01:37
And this banner, it's going to be at the game. Oh, where is the game? That's what we should say. When and where is the game?
01:43
Go on George. Lowell Gorn Athletic Stadium.
01:45
Yep. Date?
01:46
11th of May.
01:48
11th of May.
01:49
12.30 kickoff.
01:50
Definitely the 11th.
01:51
Yeah, yeah. We don't know yet, they might phone me up later and cancel it again.
01:55
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
01:56
So 11th of May.
01:57
They're less said about that.
01:59
Yeah, yeah. But this banner's going to go somewhere a bit special after the game, isn't it?
02:04
Zor.
02:05
Yeah, that's the church.
02:06
What about the church? Yeah, the door church.
02:08
What's that one that's off the church, George? Is that the community up?
02:14
Yeah, yeah.
02:15
Yeah, yeah.
02:16
Well, he was talking about, he might shove it on the wrought iron gates.
02:19
Oh, that'll be nice so everyone can see as they come by on that. Yeah, yeah, cool.
02:23
I only spoke to him yesterday.
02:24
So, who's playing in the game then? Where are these players coming from?
02:28
From Lowell Gornal and Sedgley and Upper Gornal.
02:32
Yeah.
02:33
Because Steve played for a team in Upper Gornal.
02:34
Okay, yeah.
02:35
The lads originally were from Sedgley.
02:37
Yeah, yeah.
02:38
And the other lads are from Lowell Gornal.
02:39
What are the teams called? Are they spuckers?
02:41
Gornal out boys, Sedgley out boys.
02:43
Okay, great stuff.
02:44
And they am old.
02:45

02:46

02:51
He wants to win mate, he wants to win.
02:53
So it's all raising money for Dementia UK?
02:55
Yes.
02:56
Any particular reason Dementia UK this year?
02:59
Well, George, we're doing a lot for cancer research and Marie Curie, we thought we'll have a change.
03:05
Yeah, yeah.
03:06
And that was the only reason.
03:07
Yeah, yeah.
03:08
And some of the people on here watching out.
03:10
Don't they?
03:11
Past go over there.
