Afghanistan women’s cricket team to receive funding from the International Cricket Council

After almost four years, the pleas of Afghanistan's women cricketers have finally been heard with the International Cricket Council announcing that it's forming a dedicated task force to support displaced female cricketers from Afghanistan who were forced to flee the country following the Taliban takeover in 2021.

00:58We are not going to just play cricket.

01:01We are going to be voices for millions of Afghan women who have been denied their basic rights

01:09and we are going to be standing with us and support them.

01:15My message is simple to all Afghan women's care.

01:19We never stop dreaming and for the world who were standing with us and their support was
