00:00Leeds United are on the cusp of promotion

00:03but are they facing a mini injury crisis?

00:07I think we're at a stage of the season now

00:09where performances aren't as important as results

00:14of course you want both together

00:15but let's be honest

00:16three points is three points

00:18and at this stage of the season

00:18that's all that really matters

00:20as you say there

00:21the automatic promotion spots

00:22are looking good for Leeds now

00:24you can't really see them dropping out

00:26it would take a huge shift

00:28to see Leeds drop down into the playoffs

00:33and for Sheffield United to then come back up to it

00:36especially as you say

00:37given the fact that Burnley play Sheffield United as well

00:39that really helps I think too

00:41you know it's in their hands now

00:43and some like I say

00:44so no excuses now

00:45it's been a rollercoaster like you say

00:47it never is straightforward

00:48with Leeds United

00:48we've had nerves

00:50we've had panic and all this

00:51but you know they are on track now

00:52and let's just go out now

00:54and get it done this weekend

00:54and then we can report back

00:55hopefully next time

00:56when they are in the Premier League

01:04of course one of Leeds' stalwarts this season

01:17he will play no part of it

01:26yeah that is a definite blow

01:30he's obviously a very very important player

01:31for Leeds

01:33captain in Ethan Ampadu's absence

01:35when he's been injured

01:36just a good player

01:38a good leader of the team

01:39and just a very very good defender

01:40and not surprisingly

01:41you know

01:42linked with like other clubs

01:43and what not

01:43and your best players

01:44will be linked to other clubs

01:45but you know

01:45very much

01:46hopefully a big part

01:47of Leeds United's future

01:48a good age

01:49still at only 25

01:50and yeah

01:51it's just a shame

01:52that he's not here

01:52going to be here

01:53for the final

01:54hopefully final four games

01:55of the season running

01:56I think that you can sort of

01:58like just about cope with it

01:59at the moment

01:59if that's the right word

02:00obviously with Ethan Ampadu

02:01dropping back into centre half

02:03alongside Joe Roden

02:04those two seem to have

02:05a real good synergy together

02:07not surprisingly really

02:08because of the Wales

02:08internationals connection

02:10and I think those two

02:11alongside each other

02:12works just fine

02:13sometimes Ampadu

02:14even looks better

02:15sometimes it's a centre half

02:16and it depends really

02:17like you know

02:18how he's playing

02:18he's obviously

02:19naturally a centre midfielder

02:20there's no doubt

02:21he can play very well

02:22as a centre back

02:22but that said

02:24you know

02:24with him dropping

02:24back into there

02:25that leaves one

02:26you know

02:27one midfielder down

02:29when you're already

02:29another midfielder down

02:30with Joe Rothwell

02:31currently out injured

02:31now

02:32I'm hoping Rothwell

02:33is not a particularly

02:34serious one

02:34and that he's back

02:35hopefully for Easter weekend

02:37or if not

02:37the last two games

02:38but even so

02:39if Ampadu's dropping back

02:40and then Rothwell's

02:41also injured

02:42that's two centre midfielders out

02:43so in both departments

02:44basically

02:45I don't know about

02:46quite down to the bare bones

02:47but you are starting

02:48to look at it

02:48and think you know

02:49one more absentee

02:50one more injury

02:51something like that

02:51and then you do have to

02:52start making

02:53you know

02:53quite dramatic changes

02:54obviously you've got

02:55Guruv and Tanaka

02:56at the moment

02:56in centre midfield

02:57seem to be doing

02:58very very well together

02:59certainly look that way

03:01and whenever they are

03:03together in recent games

03:04and obviously Ampadu

03:05and Roden at centre half

03:06but thereafter

03:06you know

03:07you'd then be looking

03:07at Max Verbe

03:08who's obviously

03:09a good player

03:09but you know

03:10there'd be question marks

03:10as a big run

03:11on the side

03:12De Beo is a very good

03:13youngster

03:14but again

03:15hardly any experience

03:15Sam Byron

03:16has played centre back

03:17but he's more or less

03:18he is a fullback

03:19obviously

03:20and then Joshua Ghiavogi

03:21as well as somebody else

03:22who's come in

03:23in more bit parts

03:23so you know

03:24it's a squad thing really

03:26and Pascal

03:27you know

03:27obviously has been

03:28first choice centre half

03:29alongside Joe Roden

03:31which allowed Ampadu

03:32into midfield

03:33but it's just the whole

03:33sort of knock-on effects

03:34of moving positions

03:35and stuff

03:36especially when there are

03:37players out at the moment

03:37so yeah

03:38a big big blow

03:39a big blow for him

03:40a big blow for Leeds

03:41as a team

03:41and as a squad

03:42but we've always said

03:44about Leeds' squad

03:44always you know

03:45quite often in recent years

03:47you've looked at Leeds' bench

03:48and thought it looks a bit

03:49light here and stuff

03:49but when everybody's

03:51fully fit

03:51or nearly fully fit

03:52you have looked at that bench

03:53and thought you know

03:54the squad's looking

03:55pretty good really

03:55and that's when

03:56at times like this

03:57you know

03:57it should hopefully

03:58see them through

03:59it's a shame for Pascal

04:00huge huge part of the team

04:02obviously you know

04:03let's assume and hope

04:04they see a lot of my promotion

04:05he'd want to be out

04:07on the pitch there

04:07celebrating with them

04:08but if they do get the job done

04:09which we obviously hope

04:10and expect they will do

04:11then there's no doubt about it

04:12that he's played a huge huge part

04:14as you say about his goals

04:15both ends of the pitch

04:16obviously as a defender

04:17and at the other end of the pitch

04:1812 of his goals

04:19and penalties

04:19and things like that

04:20he's a very very big

04:21big player for Leeds

04:22one who will be relishing

04:24the prospect hopefully

04:25of playing from the Premier League

04:26so we wish him a speedy recovery
