00:00Hey guys, Meltdown here at Motor City Harley-Davidson, once again with General Manager Craig Collins.

00:09And today we're going to talk about things you need to do to get your motorcycle ready for the spring riding season.

00:14And Craig, what do you think is one of the first things people should concentrate on?

00:17Well, one of the first things they need is just a basic safety check.

00:20Bring the bike in, it's free of charge, we'll go through it, it's a 42-point inspection.

00:24Anything we find will bring it to your attention.

00:26Of course, some of the basic things are tire pressure, battery voltage, making sure all your fluids are topped off.

00:32It's just really important that spring's here and beat the rush.

00:36Because right now, man, we have over 400 winter storage bikes in stock.

00:39Deliveries are going to be coming.

00:41Everybody's going to be wanting to ride after the winter that we've had.

00:51Well, for me, like a bucket list right now, I know you've done this a bunch of times.

00:54It's like Sturgis and whatnot.

00:56And of course, down in Daytona.

00:57I was talking to a rock star on my podcast.

01:00And he's actually going to be riding over in Italy and all through like the Eastern Europe and everything.

01:06So what are some of your bucket list rides?

01:08You know, I've been very fortunate.

01:10I've been able to do some of those rides such as Sturgis.

01:13Which again, if you haven't been, I highly recommend to go just for the riding.

01:17There's some great riding when you get into Daytona in Florida.

01:21But for me, I would think it would be out west in the canyons, along the rivers.

01:28And I don't think...

01:29I just actually got back from Utah and I was very fortunate to be able to do some riding out there.

01:33It was absolutely gorgeous.

01:35One of the things we go on this trip with our listeners every fall to Vegas.

01:40I would ride out through the desert in Vegas one day.

01:42I rode a bicycle out there, but never a motorcycle.

01:44Yeah, I can tell you, man, in the extreme temperature changes, it'll rain in one spot right over the top of you.

01:49But there's nothing like the experience of getting out and there is just...

01:53You've got to map your gas stops because you're going to run out of fuel if you're not careful.

01:57So you've done Deal's Gap, the Dragon, down south. Where is that? South Carolina?

02:01It's North Carolina.

02:02Yeah, yeah.

02:03Fortunately, you know, I grew up in Tennessee, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

02:08And we were only about an hour and 20 minutes away from Deal's Gap.

02:11And the foot of hills of the Smokies, Blue Ridge Parkway, incredible riding.

02:15And again, I've been very fortunate to be able to ride those rides.

02:18Some of the best riding in the country, in my opinion.

02:21So, bucket list, you know, I've been able to check a lot of that off.

02:25I don't know, maybe overseas somewhere.

02:27Yeah, that's right.

02:28A different country down through Mexico, I think would be neat.

02:32I know that we do some things where there's some cruises you can go on and take your motorcycle and get off at each stop.

02:38Really?

02:39Yeah.

02:40So, still got a little bit more out there to do.

02:43Been very blessed.

02:44But these are all places that I would highly recommend, if you've never been, to go riding.
