00:00:00Food is the only thing I have left to look forward to.
00:00:11I can feel my body breaking down.
00:00:15I have to change.
00:00:22These surgeries represent freedom.
00:00:25I'm risking everything for a chance to have a future.
00:00:30I have a lot of lost time to make up for.
00:00:39I can breathe so much better now.
00:00:42I never would have believed I'd be capable of this.
00:00:45Do you value your life?
00:00:48Yes.
00:00:49Because if you don't, you're going to end up gaining your weight back.
00:00:52And here's the light.
00:00:54They both gain weight, but I was shocked to see how much.
00:01:00When I wake up in the morning, I think, here comes another day full of things I can't do.
00:01:09Because I can't even do the most basic things on my own anymore. I'm too big now. Cash!
00:01:18Here.
00:01:19I gotta poop.
00:01:20Okay.
00:01:21Cash is my younger brother. He does everything for me.
00:01:27I would do anything for Colton because he's my brother and I love him. I get sad seeing him struggle.
00:01:36The only thing that makes me sadder is my sister's pretty much living the same life as me right upstairs.
00:01:45Come on. I'm with my sunshine.
00:01:58I live here in my mom's house with her, her wife Elaine, my husband, our three kids, and both my brothers.
00:02:04I mostly just stay in my room on his bed most of the day. I still have a little bit of mobility, but it's not enough.
00:02:13So, in the morning, Michael gets up and he gets the kids ready for school and I just watch him.
00:02:20It's been years since I've been out of the house, and now I just feel like I'm living to eat.
00:02:25Food has always been a big part of me and Carlton's life.
00:02:28And I was around nine when I realized that my mom was being abused by my dad.
00:02:33And I always try my best to hide it from my brother.
00:02:36When my dad got angry, I would put my brother in the room and I would go and get something for us to snack on.
00:02:41It's how we felt loved and it's how we felt safe.
00:02:47Want my drinks?
00:02:48Cash, can you help me?
00:02:50I feel like me and Carlton are just not living.
00:02:53And I think to myself that it's my fault he's like this.
00:02:56If I was a better example, maybe he would've ate better.
00:03:01And if I lose him because of this, I don't think I'd ever recover.
00:03:06My worst fear is Chantelle dying.
00:03:14It's the one thing I can't handle.
00:03:17Things have to change because I don't want to be like this.
00:03:20I want a life. I want to live.
00:03:23But the only way to do that is to lose weight.
00:03:25So me and her have to find a way to change that before it's too late.
00:03:32I'm going to need y'all to start giving me the stuff from up there so we can sit down on the bed.
00:03:36Oh, yes, we need that.
00:03:38Me and Carlton have decided to try and get help from Dr. Nell and let us do his weight loss program.
00:03:44But we know if he does that, we're going to have to be in Houston a lot.
00:03:48So we talked it all over as a family and decided that we need to move to Houston.
00:03:53I don't go out and do anything or see anyone except online.
00:03:58I actually have been talking to someone online for the past year.
00:04:01Her name is Monica and I was messaging her and telling her I'm sad we have never been able to meet
00:04:06because I think I have a lot of feelings for her.
00:04:08And she told me that she does too and she wants to go with me to Houston and help me do this.
00:04:13And with all of us hoping to leave today, Monica is coming over with her stuff.
00:04:22Hey! Come here!
00:04:33I've been waiting to see him for so long.
00:04:35And when I finally walked in the door and saw him there, I was pretty nervous.
00:04:38But I'm also really excited and happy.
00:04:41His weight doesn't bother me. I want to be with him.
00:04:44Grab the shirt. No, that's not going.
00:04:46My nerves are all over the place because this is going to take a lot for me and Carlton to do.
00:04:50We've been packing through most of the night and we're about ready.
00:04:53Monica stayed the night with me because she already packed up her whole world to do this and leave.
00:04:58But just having her here with me is making a huge difference for me.
00:05:08I think I'm nervous because it's getting real. Like it's getting real serious to me.
00:05:13I'm in.
00:05:14Sucking on.
00:05:15All right.
00:05:18This is the biggest leap of faith we've taken in our lives.
00:05:21And me and Chantel are ready to take this on.
00:05:23Chantel is really struggling bad.
00:05:38I'm in so much pain right now. More than I have felt in my entire life.
00:05:44Carlton and Chantel Oglesby called me to tell me they are both in a lot of pain right now.
00:06:02So I told them to come here to the hospital.
00:06:04So we can run the test we need to make sure everything is okay.
00:06:10Hello. I'm Dr. Nuzardhan.
00:06:12Hi, Dad.
00:06:13Are you Chantel?
00:06:14Yes.
00:06:15Okay. Nice to meet you.
00:06:16You doing okay?
00:06:17Yeah, I'm just like...
00:06:19I'm missing my fingers and my legs.
00:06:21Okay.
00:06:22We get to you, Ian, and we're gonna check you out real quick, okay?
00:06:24Okay.
00:06:25My brother is in the other car.
00:06:26Okay.
00:06:28Hello.
00:06:29You've been cooped up in your car, huh?
00:06:30Yeah, I've been cramped up for a while.
00:06:32All right.
00:06:33We get to you, Ian, and check you out.
00:06:35Can you walk?
00:06:36A little bit.
00:06:37So we need to get a wheelchair for you?
00:06:39Yes, please.
00:06:40You got her?
00:06:41I got her.
00:06:42Come on, baby.
00:06:43You can do it.
00:06:44I got you.
00:06:45Oh, God.
00:06:46Please, I can't.
00:06:47All right.
00:06:48Ow.
00:06:49You made it.
00:06:50You made it to the chair.
00:06:52Yes, sir.
00:06:53Okay.
00:06:54So what's going on with your eating habit?
00:07:05I eat, like, fast food and snacks and...
00:07:08All right.
00:07:09Who bring you the food?
00:07:10The kids and Michael?
00:07:11The kids and Michael.
00:07:12Um, I just...
00:07:14I eat a lot.
00:07:15I eat constantly.
00:07:16They bring you food or you ask for it?
00:07:18I'll send a text.
00:07:19We got a very bad dynamic of household.
00:07:23Everybody is using each other to get what they want,
00:07:26which is food.
00:07:27So y'all ready to make some changes and change your life
00:07:32and be healthy and have a future together?
00:07:34Yes, I am.
00:07:35I'm ready because this life isn't good.
00:07:37Okay.
00:07:38I will get the scale and see if we can get your weight down, okay?
00:07:41Okay.
00:07:42Okay.
00:07:43We gonna do this.
00:07:46We really gotta do this.
00:07:48Uh-huh.
00:07:53All right, baby.
00:07:54All right, take it easy, babe.
00:08:04638.
00:08:05Oh, God.
00:08:06Baby, I can't believe this is high.
00:08:08Damn it.
00:08:09Sorry.
00:08:10Oh.
00:08:11Jeez.
00:08:13All right.
00:08:21786.
00:08:22Almost 800 pounds.
00:08:26So we have about 1100 pounds to lose between both of you.
00:08:29It's gonna take a lot to turn around the situation we have with the Oglesby family.
00:08:36And for Chantelle and Cartoon to lose the 1100 pounds of weight they need to get off of their bodies
00:08:42before their conditions deteriorate any further and their bodies start to give up.
00:08:47We've been in Houston for going on two weeks.
00:09:00After we went to the hospital when we got here, Dr. Nile ran all the tests he wanted.
00:09:04And told us we both didn't have any medical emergencies.
00:09:06So there was no reason to keep us there longer in the hospital.
00:09:10And he told us we can go get moved into our new police.
00:09:13All right, I'm gonna go see what they're making, okay?
00:09:15But he gave us his diet and exercise plans.
00:09:18And said that me and Chantelle had one month to lose 60 pounds.
00:09:21He wanted to get approved for weight loss surgery.
00:09:24Oh, wow.
00:09:25But it hasn't been easy.
00:09:27And we decided that today's a special day where we're gonna get one day off.
00:09:31Because today is Thanksgiving.
00:09:33So you guys cooking?
00:09:34Yeah, turkey loving.
00:09:36Oh, is it?
00:09:38But we're not gonna go overboard.
00:09:41We still have to eat small portions.
00:09:43All right, so everybody get to the table, okay?
00:09:46And we only have two more weeks until our appointment with Dr. Nile.
00:09:49Where we find out if we'll both be able to get our weight loss surgery or not.
00:09:54Me and Carlton know we've already let it go far too long.
00:09:57So we have to do this now before it gets to be too late.
00:10:03Everybody hold hands.
00:10:05Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you, Father God, for letting us have a new start.
00:10:10We're super thankful, Father God, for all the blessings that you've bestowed upon us.
00:10:14Family is everything.
00:10:15We say these things in Jesus Christ's name.
00:10:17Amen.
00:10:24Me and Chantel are at Dr. Nile's to see him and find out where our weights are at.
00:10:30And I think we're both a little anxious.
00:10:33Since our weight loss surgery depends on us hitting the goal Dr. Nile gave us last month.
00:10:40Carlton and Chantel?
00:10:41When we saw Dr. Nile last month, my weight was at 786.
00:10:45So if I'm at my goal, I need to be below 726 right now.
00:10:49So we'll see if I did that.
00:10:50Oh, man.
00:10:51I thought Carlton would have lost more than that with how we both been doing a diet.
00:11:06So I'm not sure if that means I didn't lose much either.
00:11:09Because we both been eating the same foods we thought were healthy.
00:11:13When I had my weight check last, I was 638 pounds.
00:11:18And to be down to Dr. Nile's goal, I have to be under 578 now.
00:11:28I don't understand that.
00:11:29Because we both really want this and thought we were working real hard.
00:11:33What I'm not happy about is your progress over the last month.
00:11:38Because Carlton, you only lost 15 pounds.
00:11:41And Chantel, you only lost 6.
00:11:43You're both not losing the weight you should.
00:11:46So what's going on with that?
00:11:48Uh, we're not sure.
00:11:49We thought we were doing better.
00:11:51So, you know, the instruction we gave you when you were in hospital was not enough?
00:11:56Uh, no.
00:11:57We're not saying that, but maybe we needed a bit more specifics.
00:12:01We had an idea.
00:12:02Yeah.
00:12:03But we needed a bit more, you know, push.
00:12:05We have to get you to see a therapist to figure out what issue you're driving into eating.
00:12:11And then I want to see you back here in two months.
00:12:14And at that time, I want you to lose 120 pounds each.
00:12:18All right?
00:12:19So lose at least 60 pounds a month.
00:12:21Each one of you, okay?
00:12:22We got it.
00:12:23We'll turn it around.
00:12:24I hope so.
00:12:25If you only didn't think, let me know.
00:12:37Have a seat wherever you're comfortable, guys.
00:12:44So, Chantel and Carlton, it's so nice to have you guys here today.
00:12:49Tell me a little bit about your lives growing up.
00:12:51There was a lot of, like, abuse and stuff like that.
00:12:54Really?
00:12:55So growing up in the fear and the unpredictability that that creates, in turn, creates a dependence
00:13:02on food because it does provide comfort.
00:13:05Carlton, how do you feel like growing up in domestic violence impacted the sibling relationship
00:13:10between you guys?
00:13:11Uh, it made us closer.
00:13:13You know, I was able to rely on my older sister a lot.
00:13:17I'm really happy for the both of you because you have this valuable sibling relationship.
00:13:22However, what you guys can't have is a sense of codependency.
00:13:27Yeah.
00:13:28You each have to be self-focused and self-driven.
00:13:31I agree.
00:13:32I gotta let him be grown.
00:13:33I just always felt the need to protect him.
00:13:35But he doesn't need protecting anymore.
00:13:37Right.
00:13:38I'm okay.
00:13:40Okay.
00:13:41Well, guys, I really appreciate the two of you being here today to talk to me.
00:13:47Yeah, thank you.
00:13:48Thank you so much.
00:13:50All right.
00:13:51That was a little harder than I was thinking it would be.
00:13:54I guess I have things I don't want to talk of.
00:13:57Food has helped me avoid that.
00:13:59So I know changing that won't be easy.
00:14:01Okay.
00:14:02Me and Chantal are headed back to see Dr. Now again.
00:14:10We worked so hard doing everything Dr. Now and Lola wanted us to do.
00:14:15The big question is if it's enough, though.
00:14:18Let's go.
00:14:20These last two months have taken a lot from me and Carlton because we pushed ourselves to do so much.
00:14:26But I feel like it's been paying off for both of us in a lot of ways.
00:14:31Chantal and Carlton?
00:14:33So I'm excited to see the progress that we both made today.
00:14:36And since I was 632 pounds last time, that means I have to be at 512 today.
00:14:42And I think I have a good chance of that number coming up.
00:14:47That number coming up fills me with a lot of pride because I know how hard I work for that.
00:15:00So I'm really happy right now.
00:15:02And I'm hoping to see the same for Carlton.
00:15:04I'm really excited about Chantal's results.
00:15:08And I'm hoping for the same thing right now with my weigh-in.
00:15:17Sorry.
00:15:18The devil.
00:15:19I did it.
00:15:20You did it.
00:15:21You dropped, Alan.
00:15:22You did it, baby.
00:15:23One of you guys are ready.
00:15:24You can go.
00:15:25I'm really happy.
00:15:28We did what we decided to do this time with both of us hitting our goal.
00:15:31So I'm really excited about that.
00:15:33And I'm really hoping this means me and Chantal will be getting our approvals.
00:15:37We hope for this whole time since we got here.
00:15:41Hello.
00:15:42Hey, dog.
00:15:43How y'all doing?
00:15:44We all right.
00:15:45How about you?
00:15:46I'm doing good, too.
00:15:47All right.
00:15:48So Chantal, you're down to 502.
00:15:51You're almost going to get in 400s, huh?
00:15:53Almost.
00:15:54So that's great.
00:15:55I'm proud of you.
00:15:56Thank you so much, dog.
00:15:57So I'm going to go ahead and approve you for weight loss surgery.
00:16:00Very good.
00:16:01You did it, Chef.
00:16:02You did it.
00:16:03Exciting.
00:16:04Let's see what Cardinal's doing.
00:16:07Well, we lost 132 pounds, which is very good.
00:16:11So I am going to approve you for weight loss surgery, too.
00:16:14Yeah.
00:16:15That sound good?
00:16:16That definitely sounds good.
00:16:19We're doing this.
00:16:20We are doing this.
00:16:21Like, oh, my God.
00:16:23We are reading the book.
00:16:24Like, both of us.
00:16:30This is a big step for me and Carlton today.
00:16:37So I'm really looking forward to making a lot more progress with Carlton once we get this.
00:16:43All right.
00:16:44Your room right off.
00:16:45I'm very happy with how well they are doing and they're ready to take this next step today.
00:16:50We will be able to give them both a very important tool with this surgery to help them stay on track and continue to lose more.
00:16:57Okay.
00:16:58Let's shake the stomach out.
00:17:00Put that on the table over there.
00:17:03All right.
00:17:04You can turn the room right on.
00:17:07Let's close it up.
00:17:08Okay.
00:17:09All finished.
00:17:10Chantal's injury went very well.
00:17:13So we'll get there to recovery and start Carlton's operation soon.
00:17:18But this is still a very hot risk operation for someone his size.
00:17:22Because any number of small issues could push his body to a point where they may have to end the operation.
00:17:27Right now we are attempting to perform a gastric leave on Carlton.
00:17:44Keep pulling.
00:17:45Keep pulling.
00:17:46Keep pulling.
00:17:47Keep pulling.
00:17:48Okay.
00:17:49Put that on the table over there.
00:17:53Carlton's surgery went very well.
00:17:55Both of them are doing really well.
00:17:57And I'm very proud of them for how hard they have worked to get to this point.
00:18:01It's been a month since me and Chantal had weight loss surgery.
00:18:11Look, now that I'm losing weight and able to move around better, I'm looking to start working some and making a living.
00:18:17And Michael told me I could start helping out with his business to make a little extra money.
00:18:20I'm planning to print out right now.
00:18:22You want me to show you how to do it?
00:18:24Yeah, that'd be great.
00:18:25All right.
00:18:26He makes t-shirts.
00:18:27And so he said he'd teach me how to start helping him out so I can become a part of that.
00:18:32And I'm excited to be, like, learning the family business to start chipping in.
00:18:37I want to start making some cash.
00:18:39Because the next stage I want to go to in my relationship with Monica is to take her out on some real dates.
00:18:45And that costs money, so I have to start earning it.
00:18:48So, you want to try one?
00:18:49Yeah, yeah.
00:18:50Here, let me try it.
00:18:51All right.
00:18:52That's something I've wanted for a long time.
00:18:54And with my progress, I finally have the chance to start doing that.
00:18:57So, I'm excited.
00:18:58And I'm hoping in a few days, I'll have enough to surprise and take her out on our first official date.
00:19:08Tonight, I'm taking Monica out for dinner and trying to show her the good time she deserves.
00:19:13Before we started all this, I didn't have any idea I'd be able to get to this point so soon.
00:19:19It's a fun night though, right?
00:19:21Yeah, we're actually out here.
00:19:22Man, we're actually out.
00:19:23Yeah.
00:19:24We're not trapping the house.
00:19:25I'm proud of you.
00:19:26You lost so much weight, you know?
00:19:28Now we're actually out here.
00:19:30I know, right?
00:19:31It shows how far you've come.
00:19:33What do you want to be in a year?
00:19:34I hope I'd be going to college, you know?
00:19:37I've been wanting to do that for a while now.
00:19:39Me too.
00:19:40Maybe we should both go to college together.
00:19:42Let's do it.
00:19:43Let's do it.
00:19:44Yeah.
00:19:45Yeah, let's get enrolled somewhere.
00:19:46Let's do some college.
00:19:47Let's get a degree.
00:19:48Let's do something.
00:19:49Yeah.
00:19:50I like being out here with you.
00:19:51Me too, honestly.
00:19:52How does treasure go around, baby?
00:19:53Yes.
00:19:54Go ahead, baby.
00:19:55The biggest thing my weight has taken from me in the past years is my ability to do things
00:19:58with my kids.
00:19:59So I've missed out on so much with them.
00:20:00Wow!
00:20:01You did so good.
00:20:02And I'm amazed that losing what I have so far has allowed me to be the mom I have always
00:20:13had dreams of being.
00:20:14I love you.
00:20:15I love you.
00:20:16High five.
00:20:17You did so good.
00:20:21And I'm amazed that losing what I have so far
00:20:23has allowed me to be the mom I have always had dreams of being.
00:20:27My little baby.
00:20:29And I can't wait to do even more because I have so much
00:20:32to look forward to now.
00:20:34Right after our surgeries, Carlton said
00:20:36he felt like it was the first day of our new lives.
00:20:38And I like that because we both are leaving our old lives
00:20:41behind.
00:20:42So now we're looking to the future.
00:20:45And I can't wait to see what it has for all of us.
00:20:48I saw a firestorm.
00:21:03Hey.
00:21:04Yo.
00:21:05Feeling all right?
00:21:06Yeah.
00:21:08Here.
00:21:09I'll take that out.
00:21:10Don't worry about that.
00:21:11You sure?
00:21:12Yeah.
00:21:13OK.
00:21:15Can you push the chair out for me?
00:21:16Yeah.
00:21:17I want to take a break.
00:21:18Oh, hello, Sean.
00:21:19Hey, bro.
00:21:20Hey, Sean.
00:21:21I'm going to go take out the garbage.
00:21:23Wow.
00:21:24Look at you.
00:21:25Foray out to the open world.
00:21:26If I don't come back, give the kids my computer.
00:21:31Oh, Lord.
00:21:32Stop being so dramatic.
00:21:33You want to come in and you're going to take the trash out?
00:21:35All right.
00:21:36Let's go.
00:21:37This morning, Carlton is going with me to take a short walk.
00:21:38It's been two months since he and I had our weight loss surgery.
00:21:40Mostly, Carlton has been helping me take the trash out for his workout.
00:21:44But today, I want him to walk down the block to the fire hydrant and come back.
00:21:45What the is the fire hydrant, man?
00:21:46That's way too far.
00:21:47I'm not going to go down the way down there.
00:21:48Open it up for him.
00:21:49All right.
00:21:50Let's go.
00:21:51This morning, Carlton is going with me to take a short walk.
00:21:54It's been two months since he and I had our weight loss surgery.
00:21:58Mostly, Carlton has been helping me take the trash out for his workout.
00:22:02But today, I want him to walk down the block to the fire hydrant and come back.
00:22:06What the is the fire hydrant, man?
00:22:08That's way too far.
00:22:09I'm not going to go down there.
00:22:11Open it up for him.
00:22:19Hey, you want to go for a walk?
00:22:20No, this.
00:22:21I'm out.
00:22:22My back already hurts.
00:22:23My stomach hurts.
00:22:24It's hot.
00:22:25And it's too bright.
00:22:26No, it's not.
00:22:27Come on.
00:22:28Let's go.
00:22:29I'm going back in the house.
00:22:30What's the fire?
00:22:31Yep.
00:22:32All right.
00:22:33See you when I get back.
00:22:34Okay.
00:22:35Hey.
00:22:36that.
00:22:37I got down there.
00:22:38I thought I could do it, but I couldn't do it.
00:22:42I'm proud of you for taking the trash out anyway.
00:22:47I had been trying and mentally telling myself, I'm going to walk.
00:22:52And I got there, and before my body could even try, my mind said no.
00:22:58And I'm so disappointed in myself right now.
00:23:08Dr. Nell said we should both be able to get to our target weights in the next year,
00:23:12if we stay focused.
00:23:13So that's what we're trying to do.
00:23:15That was hard, but I did it.
00:23:19I knew I could, and I knew that Carlton could too, if he had just pushed himself.
00:23:24Our next appointment with Dr. Nell is in a month.
00:23:27So I know I'm going to have to motivate Carlton by leading him with my example.
00:23:31Because we both need to stay on track.
00:23:33We're doing it. Don't get down in the dumps.
00:23:38When he gets really down about himself, it's horrible.
00:23:42I want to help him feel better.
00:23:44But a lot of the times, there's not much that I can say to him to get him out of that mood.
00:23:48It's hard for him to love himself.
00:23:50We're ahead of Dr. Nell's office.
00:24:04I'm looking forward to hearing that our health has been improved since we first got here.
00:24:09And that, you know, that our journey is continuing steadily along.
00:24:16No fears, no apprehensions.
00:24:18We both want to make it to our targets in less than a year.
00:24:23And we need to stay on track to do that.
00:24:26I think I will be.
00:24:28But I'm not sure about Carlton.
00:24:30Because he hasn't been active and done his exercises with me like we planned.
00:24:34And there has been lots of days that he ate in his room with his new girlfriend Monica.
00:24:43Chantel and Carlton?
00:24:45I'm just hoping that he's not too far behind me.
00:24:48Because we made a promise to Dr. Nell to stick through this together.
00:24:52And so I don't want to let him down.
00:24:54All right.
00:24:55Whenever you're ready.
00:24:56Go ahead.
00:24:58I was 405 last month.
00:25:00And I'm supposed to be losing at least 25 pounds a month.
00:25:04So that means I should be at 380 today.
00:25:09393.
00:25:15There you go.
00:25:16Thank you, bro.
00:25:18I'm not as low as I was hoping, but it could be worse.
00:25:21But I'm hoping that Carlton gets some better news on a scale for his turn.
00:25:27Okay, you're next.
00:25:28My turn.
00:25:34I remember that he was at 528 last month.
00:25:37And he said he was supposed to lose 30 to get down to 498 today.
00:25:40Good job.
00:25:41Yeah.
00:25:42Whenever you guys are ready, you can go to room 5.
00:25:43I can see by the look in my brother's face that he is not happy with that.
00:25:47But he's come a long way.
00:25:48So I'm proud of him for sticking to his diet for the most part.
00:25:50I know that he's still adjusting to Monica living with him in his room.
00:25:51So his focus has been off.
00:25:52So I'm worried that Dr. Neal might take a stern approach with Carlton to get him back on course.
00:25:54I can see by the look in my brother's face that he is not happy with that.
00:25:57But he's come a long way.
00:25:59So I'm proud of him for sticking to his diet for the most part.
00:26:03I know that he's still adjusting to Monica living with him in his room.
00:26:06So his focus has been off.
00:26:07So I'm worried that Dr. Neal might take a stern approach with Carlton to get him back on course.
00:26:23Hello.
00:26:24Hey, Doc.
00:26:25How y'all doing?
00:26:26Good.
00:26:27Doing great. How are you?
00:26:28I'm doing good.
00:26:29So how is life after surgery?
00:26:32Life is amazing.
00:26:34Our mobility is much improved.
00:26:37Our bodies are, you know, starting to get to where normal human bodies should look like.
00:26:41And we're really grateful, you know, and thank you for helping us.
00:26:46Sure, that's my job.
00:26:48But don't get ahead of yourself.
00:26:50You still got a long way to go.
00:26:51Because, you know, Carlton, you're down to 525.
00:26:55So you lost 3 pounds instead of 30 this past one.
00:26:59And your weight loss almost stopped.
00:27:02Only 3 months after we got surgery.
00:27:05So you are getting comfortable and that's the problem.
00:27:08And Chantel?
00:27:09You're slowing down too.
00:27:11You are down to just under 400.
00:27:15But you only lost 12 pounds instead of 25.
00:27:19So you're doing better than Carlton, but you both are struggling.
00:27:23And it seems like you're both influencing each other still.
00:27:27And I'm very concerned about that.
00:27:29So how is now the dynamic of household?
00:27:32Well, when we first came to you, our relationship was entirely dependent upon food.
00:27:38When we got together, it was to either eat, figure out what to eat, or after we were eating.
00:27:44And now, now that you've taught us, you know, how to have a relationship without eating, now we can truly be brother and sister.
00:27:52Before, I felt like we were both prisoners of our own bad choices.
00:27:56We were just basically enabling each other to just keep eating and eating.
00:28:00And now, we're able to be brother and sisters.
00:28:03We can walk together, talk together, help the kids, you know.
00:28:07We can do things outside of just food.
00:28:10We were separated for so long by the steps.
00:28:13So we would FaceTime each other all the time.
00:28:15So we basically had a relationship through the phone.
00:28:18So now I can get up and down the steps with ease.
00:28:21I can actually spend time.
00:28:22I can come and watch a movie with my brother.
00:28:24We can talk.
00:28:25And, you know, if I need him, I can just come straight to him or he can come straight to me.
00:28:28So that's something that's, like, really changed with us.
00:28:32So that feels better.
00:28:33Well, so you're walking better and feeling better and breathing better?
00:28:36Yes.
00:28:37I don't have my wheelchair.
00:28:39I don't have my walker.
00:28:40I'm just walking.
00:28:41I'm just using my legs, so.
00:28:43Great.
00:28:44Well, I'm proud of you making it down under 400.
00:28:48When was the last time you were in the 300s?
00:28:50Hey, I don't even remember.
00:28:51That's how long it's been.
00:28:52All right.
00:28:53She'll tell you, a good weight will be under 200.
00:28:56But ideally, 180 will be good weight for you.
00:28:59Okay.
00:29:00Okay.
00:29:01So that's going to be what you need to make an effort to get there within 10 months.
00:29:05Okay.
00:29:06With some excess skin you want, you can easily do that if you stay on track.
00:29:10Okay.
00:29:11All right.
00:29:12Concon, you're getting close to being in the 400s.
00:29:15And when was the last time you were in the 400s?
00:29:18I don't even know.
00:29:19My life had spiraled out of control so hard at that point that I couldn't even tell you.
00:29:24But I'm very happy to be out of the sevens, out of the sixes, and to be steadily dropping weight.
00:29:30So I'm super excited to just see the weight getting off from hard work.
00:29:35Okay.
00:29:36But you need to focus and get back on track.
00:29:38So we're going to get you down to 220 pounds.
00:29:41Okay.
00:29:42And that's going to be a good idea of body weight for you.
00:29:44So you've got a long way to go.
00:29:46Yeah.
00:29:47Long way to go, but I'm willing to keep walking, so.
00:29:49That sounds good.
00:29:50I'm glad to hear that.
00:29:51I'm excited to keep losing weight.
00:29:53And I feel like with every step I can feel that, you know, that weight loss going.
00:29:58And I'm just really excited because life is so much better.
00:30:01Good.
00:30:02All right, Chantel and Cartoon, hopefully we're going to get you both to your target weight
00:30:08in less than a year.
00:30:09Okay.
00:30:10So keep working hard, increase your activity, eat properly, take your vitamin, and drink
00:30:16plenty of liquid.
00:30:17All right.
00:30:18All right.
00:30:19I'll see you in two months.
00:30:20Thank you, sir.
00:30:21Okay?
00:30:22You take care, okay?
00:30:23All right.
00:30:24Thank you, Doc.
00:30:25Let's just keep working hard.
00:30:32Okay.
00:30:33Chantel and Cartoon have come a long way in eight months.
00:30:38But they both need to pick up the pace and do better with their weight loss, especially
00:30:43Cartoon.
00:30:44I am glad that he feels that their life is getting better, but I think he is overcompensating
00:30:51with what he's saying about how far they both come to try to distract from the fact they're
00:30:58falling short of the progress they should be making and slipping back into some old habits.
00:31:04So I'm hoping today's appointment helps Chantel get motivated by seeing her slow in progress
00:31:12because they both still have a long way to go to get to their target.
00:31:17So they need to get back on track before things take a bad turn for them.
00:31:26This is going to be a lifelong battle.
00:31:29And it's because of the decisions that I made, you know, and only by my decisions can I reverse
00:31:35this damage I've caused.
00:31:36I just have to keep trying and keep working hard.
00:31:40I'm going to go harder this next month, but I'm really going to push Carlton to do better
00:31:45too.
00:31:46So we both keep losing how we need.
00:31:48I know he already knows that he needs to do better.
00:31:51So I'm not worried.
00:31:52But I know I'm going to have to keep pushing him to work harder and make it to his target
00:31:56in the next 10 months because I don't want him to mess this up for him or for me.
00:32:01So, how do we need to do better therapy?
00:32:05What do we need to do better strategy?
00:32:06Oh my god.
00:32:07Okay.
00:32:08That's a reason we need to do better strategy.
00:32:10I think we need to do better strategy.
00:32:12We need to do better strategy.
00:32:13But I am gonna do better strategy for him.
00:32:15So, what do we need to do better strategy is a goal in the world?
00:32:17Can we know if we need you guys?
00:32:20No, first of all we need to do better strategy.
00:32:22So, we need to make our team's best to do better.
00:32:24Monica, you want some emotion?
00:32:29I accidentally squeezed out way too much.
00:32:32That's a lot.
00:32:33Oh, jeez.
00:32:35It's been a month since we went back to see Dr. Now again.
00:32:38And since then, things have been going pretty well.
00:32:43All right, I'm gonna go do a little walking, OK?
00:32:45OK.
00:32:47You need me to come out there?
00:32:49No.
00:32:51From a physical standpoint, our bodies have been improving.
00:32:56It feels easier to walk.
00:32:57It feels slightly easier to breathe.
00:33:00However, you know, after our appointment,
00:33:03I just kept thinking, like, my sister,
00:33:06she has been trying both physically harder than me
00:33:11and mentally harder.
00:33:13So I'm a little disappointed with myself
00:33:15because I know that I can do better.
00:33:17I'm personally, I'm just,
00:33:19my goal is to just work hard.
00:33:21You only got my stamina.
00:33:24I've been walking back and forth
00:33:27because I'm still not comfortable walking outside yet
00:33:31because I'm still wary of people just watching me.
00:33:35And to be honest, I'm always gonna be wary of that
00:33:38because of my past.
00:33:40Monica, she's just always telling me,
00:33:43hey, you can do it.
00:33:45Not tomorrow.
00:33:46Not next week.
00:33:47Today.
00:34:00Well, I've been expecting you.
00:34:02Hey.
00:34:04What you doing?
00:34:06I was just doing some laps.
00:34:08Touch this wall.
00:34:09Touch that wall is one.
00:34:11You come back.
00:34:12Touch this wall.
00:34:13Touch that wall is one.
00:34:14Oh, that's good.
00:34:15That's great.
00:34:16I heard my brother down here working off.
00:34:18And I just wanted to come down and see him.
00:34:20You know, it motivates me.
00:34:21And it's just, I forget, like, what I'm feeling.
00:34:24And then I just, you know, get in his world.
00:34:26How do you feel coming down the stairs?
00:34:27I mean, I can hear you.
00:34:29I don't hear you wheezing.
00:34:30So how do you feel?
00:34:31I feel fine coming down the steps.
00:34:32Like, it doesn't feel like a struggle.
00:34:34Like, before, I remember coming in the steps backwards initially
00:34:38because I couldn't get down the steps.
00:34:40Coming in the steps doesn't bother me anymore.
00:34:41Stand up.
00:34:43I haven't seen you in a while.
00:34:44I've been sick.
00:34:45Yeah.
00:34:46Looking pretty good.
00:34:47Coming in the steps, like, doesn't bother me.
00:34:48Like, I'm not tired or nothing.
00:34:49Like, I can go up and down.
00:34:51It's not a problem for me anymore.
00:34:53Look at you.
00:34:54Come on.
00:34:55You look good.
00:34:56Like, I can see it.
00:34:57Like, all in here.
00:34:58And I'm proud of you.
00:34:59Proud of you too, sis.
00:35:01I'm proud of you.
00:35:02So have you eaten today?
00:35:04I have some eggs.
00:35:05You want to?
00:35:06But that was early in the morning.
00:35:07Let's get some lunch.
00:35:08Want some broth?
00:35:09Yes, I have some broth.
00:35:10You want me to get it?
00:35:11Let's do it together.
00:35:13Come on, old lady.
00:35:15I never thought me and my brother would ever be walking to the kitchen together to make lunch
00:35:20or to eat broth.
00:35:21I'm OK with it because it's like I know, you know, all the unhealthy eating led us to almost
00:35:26death.
00:35:27And so I'm never going back to that again.
00:35:29Let's talk.
00:35:30Is that the same thing?
00:35:31She's asking the fridge.
00:35:32Oh, bro.
00:35:33You got two cup or two bowls?
00:35:38Yeah, man.
00:35:43We're eating most of our meals together again.
00:35:46And that helps us stay determined to make as much progress as we can.
00:35:50We decided that we want to lose just like we did after surgery.
00:35:53So we're doing one or two meals a day as just liquid.
00:35:56That's our strategy now to get back on track and lose a lot.
00:36:02See what I know I'm doing well.
00:36:04It's just I want this a lot for my brother, not just myself.
00:36:07I just I just want this for him so much because, you know, he's come so far.
00:36:10I'm so excited.
00:36:11Oh, God.
00:36:12Eat up.
00:36:13Eat up.
00:36:14Eat up.
00:36:15I'm happy to see Carlton trying harder.
00:36:18We're both trying to be better influences on each other.
00:36:21And I actually feel like Carlton has been doing a lot more now because I haven't been feeling
00:36:26well.
00:36:27I haven't been as active for a few weeks now.
00:36:30And that scares me a little.
00:36:32But I'm happy that both of us have made so much progress that we can walk on our own.
00:36:36And I feel like we're supporting each other.
00:36:38So I can't wait to see what progress we have made when we go back to Dr. Now in a month.
00:36:51See, I'm not going through those roadblocks.
00:36:53Speed bumps.
00:36:57Carlton and I are on our way to see Dr. Now.
00:37:00So we can find out how much progress we have made since our last visit.
00:37:05The gap between Carlton and me progress wise isn't much new.
00:37:10Because I've been feeling nauseous and sleepy most of the time.
00:37:13But I found out why.
00:37:15I'm pregnant.
00:37:16I haven't told Carlton.
00:37:18Michael is the only one who knows right now.
00:37:21Because I don't know what it's going to mean for everything that we're doing.
00:37:25I'm not going to tell Dr. Now either right now.
00:37:28I just want to wait and get my head around it all.
00:37:31And not make Carlton worry about anything else outside of doing what he needs.
00:37:36So I'm not sure how I did.
00:37:38Probably not as well as I had hoped.
00:37:41But I'm still expecting to see some good progress.
00:37:54Chantel and Carlton?
00:37:56Last time I was at 393 and it's been two months.
00:38:02And I'm supposed to be losing at least 25 pounds a month.
00:38:06So I should be down by 50 pounds to be at 343 today.
00:38:10And I hope I'm close to that.
00:38:12All right.
00:38:13Whenever you're ready.
00:38:14I feel that's not bad.
00:38:15It's like I thought.
00:38:16Some good progress.
00:38:17But not as much as I like.
00:38:19All right.
00:38:20All right.
00:38:21700.
00:38:22Here we go.
00:38:23Yeah, right.
00:38:24I hope Carlton at least has the same results.
00:38:29I feel that's not bad.
00:38:36It's like I thought.
00:38:37Some good progress, but not as much as I like.
00:38:43All right.
00:38:45700, here we go.
00:38:47Yeah, right.
00:38:49I hope Crouchon at least has the same results.
00:38:52It will make him feel good to know he's caught up with me.
00:38:55I know he's been working really hard to do better,
00:38:57and I hope that makes a difference today.
00:39:00He was at 525,
00:39:01and he's supposed to be losing at least 30 pounds a month.
00:39:04So that means he needs to be down to 465.
00:39:20All right, whenever you're ready,
00:39:22you can go ahead and go to room five.
00:39:23All right.
00:39:25Michael, you go first.
00:39:26Here we go.
00:39:32I'm happy he did better,
00:39:34but I'm really, really nervous that the nail is going to be upset.
00:39:37I felt like I had another down month,
00:39:39so I know that the nail is going to see it as a pattern.
00:39:43I'm really worried that he's going to think
00:39:45that Crouchon is not committed,
00:39:47because he is,
00:39:48and I know he's going to do this.
00:39:51All right.
00:39:52All right.
00:39:53All right.
00:39:53All right.
00:39:54All right.
00:39:55All right.
00:39:55All right.
00:39:55Let's see who's first, huh?
00:39:58Hello.
00:40:03Hey, Doc.
00:40:05How y'all doing?
00:40:06We're good.
00:40:07We're good.
00:40:08How about you?
00:40:09I'm doing okay.
00:40:10All right.
00:40:11So let's see who's first, huh?
00:40:15How's your diet come along?
00:40:18My diet has been consistent, you know.
00:40:21Just trying to do my best, staying on your colors.
00:40:25Okay.
00:40:26Well, I'm glad to see you improve your progress this time.
00:40:30You lost 19 pounds this month, which is about 9 to 10 pounds a month.
00:40:35So your weight loss is getting a little better.
00:40:38But you still need to pick up the pace.
00:40:41At your weight, you should be losing 30 pounds a month.
00:40:44So I'm proud of you for working to go back in your way direction.
00:40:48But you need to triple your progress.
00:40:51You understand that?
00:40:52Yes, sir.
00:40:53Keep working on it and cut back even more.
00:40:57And once you get down another 100 pounds, you're going to have a lot of extra skin.
00:41:01Then we're going to figure out what to do with that, okay?
00:41:03Yes, sir.
00:41:04And then, Chantelle, you're doing a little better, too.
00:41:09You lost 29 pounds, which is about 15 pounds a month, which is better than 12, but not much.
00:41:18So keep moving in the right direction.
00:41:20You should be losing 10 pounds a month, okay?
00:41:23Okay.
00:41:24If you lose another 70 pounds, you probably will be ready for skin removal.
00:41:29So make sure that you continue to lose weight.
00:41:32And if both of you apply for yourself, you both, in three months, you're going to be able to lose easily 100 pounds.
00:41:39Okay?
00:41:40Okay.
00:41:41At this point, you all have a lot of work to do to get to your target weight in the next eight months.
00:41:46But regardless, both of you need to work harder to pick out the pace.
00:41:50Okay.
00:41:51Okay?
00:41:52Yes.
00:41:53If you both stick to the diet, then it's going to be very easy for you to do.
00:41:57Okay.
00:41:58Okay?
00:41:59Yes.
00:42:00Any questions?
00:42:01No.
00:42:02Michael is sitting back there and just thinking about what you're going to do, huh?
00:42:07Why is the spotlight always on me last?
00:42:10I can't handle it.
00:42:12You both work hard to do better.
00:42:15And make sure you keep working with therapy.
00:42:18And I'll see you all in two months.
00:42:20Thank you, sir.
00:42:21Nice to see you.
00:42:22All right.
00:42:23If you need anything, give me a call.
00:42:24Okay.
00:42:25Yes, sir.
00:42:33I'm glad to see that both Chantelle and Cartoon are losing a little bit more this time.
00:42:39But they are still not making the progress they should, each one.
00:42:43But now the question is, if they both continue to improve their progress, and that's going to come down to influencing each other in a positive way.
00:42:54If they don't do that, this improvement is only going to be temporary.
00:42:58I feel the appointment was good.
00:43:06I was really worried that he was going to be upset.
00:43:09But I know Carlton and I need to do better.
00:43:11And my main concern is for Carlton.
00:43:13He needs to do better.
00:43:15And he will.
00:43:16I'm going to work harder to make sure I triple my progress.
00:43:20And that's my goal for the next appointment.
00:43:22But Carlton's weight loss needs to really improve.
00:43:25I am not going to be able to do better.
00:43:45The past couple of weeks have been a struggle for me.
00:43:57I feel like I pushed myself a little too hard.
00:44:00My left knee has been really sore since then.
00:44:03Hey, babe.
00:44:04Hey, honey.
00:44:07That combined with me not being able to keep up with my exercises right now
00:44:11has led me to needing my walker again.
00:44:15Ready to eat?
00:44:16Yeah, we just going up the table, though.
00:44:17All right, give me a second.
00:44:19Maybe I would have more stamina if I wasn't pregnant.
00:44:22But Carlton told me it even got a little too much for him, too.
00:44:25So that made me feel better.
00:44:27You all right?
00:44:28Yeah, I'm good.
00:44:29You look like you're out of breath.
00:44:31I am out of breath.
00:44:32You got your inhaler?
00:44:34I feel stans.
00:44:35Oh, baby.
00:44:36From the steps, it scares me.
00:44:40Because I don't want to go back to how it was.
00:44:45That'll do.
00:44:48Okay, honey.
00:44:49All right.
00:44:50Hey, bro.
00:44:50You ready to eat?
00:44:51Yeah, I'm coming.
00:44:52I still haven't told Carlton that I'm pregnant, but I know I have to do it soon.
00:44:59I just want him to make as much progress as he can first, in case he loses motivation if
00:45:04he starts worrying about me.
00:45:06But I know my progress is already slipping, and I'm scared that, at the next appointment,
00:45:10that if my progress isn't good, I'm going to owe Dr. Nell and Carlton an explanation.
00:45:14So I'm really worried about that.
00:45:18You all right?
00:45:18How you feeling?
00:45:20I feel okay.
00:45:21You know, a little bit.
00:45:23Y'all's a little out of breath from the steps.
00:45:25Yeah.
00:45:26How your legs feel?
00:45:27They feel okay.
00:45:28Feel better?
00:45:29They feel a lot better.
00:45:30Okay.
00:45:31How you doing, Michael?
00:45:32I'm good.
00:45:33How about you?
00:45:34Hang on there.
00:45:35So, what do you want to eat?
00:45:37Chef's choice.
00:45:38All right.
00:45:39Let's see what we got.
00:45:40Let's see what we got.
00:45:41All right.
00:45:44There's cheese, eggs, spinach.
00:45:50It looks like a nice sunny day.
00:45:52It does, right?
00:45:54One of these days, I'm going to make an omelet.
00:45:57Only problem is, I can't make an omelet to save my life.
00:46:00Let's give it a few more minutes, guys, so the greens can cook with it.
00:46:12This looks healthy.
00:46:13It's so good.
00:46:14Thank you, sir.
00:46:14Nothing else.
00:46:15Healthy.
00:46:16Thank you, sir.
00:46:17You're welcome, baby.
00:46:18You're welcome, brother.
00:46:19I'm good.
00:46:21Are you a baby?
00:46:22No.
00:46:23I just don't want to drop them on the table.
00:46:24Much of us.
00:46:25You can eat your eggs.
00:46:27Fresh, warm eggs.
00:46:29Is it good?
00:46:32Yeah.
00:46:32The cheese make it delicious.
00:46:33You best believe it.
00:46:35I know the time where I'm going to have to tell him I'm pregnant is coming soon.
00:46:39I don't want to risk pushing myself too far physically.
00:46:42So I guess I'm just waiting for that right time.
00:46:44I can taste the whole thing.
00:46:47Oh, man.
00:46:54I'm feeling a little nervous about seeing the doctor because this has been, you know, a rough two weeks with me not feeling my best.
00:47:01So I'm just hoping that I made enough progress for him.
00:47:04I don't feel anything about seeing the doctor.
00:47:06I don't feel bad or good about it.
00:47:09I'm ready to see the doctor.
00:47:10Today's the day I've been worrying about.
00:47:13I think Carlton is going to be better.
00:47:16But I know Dr. Nell is going to be asking me some questions because I had less and less energy the further I get in my pregnancy.
00:47:22I had to tell Carlton that I hurt my knee to explain why I haven't been matching his efforts in our workout.
00:47:30And I've been sticking to my diet in front of him because I want him to stay motivated.
00:47:35And I don't want to be a negative influence on him.
00:47:39But everything that's been going on with me has led me to stress eat some.
00:47:42I know I've given in a few times, but I've been hiding it from Carlton and hiding the fact that I'm eating for two.
00:48:00Carlton and Chantel.
00:48:01I'm nervous to get on the scale today.
00:48:11I have a new user walking right now because of my name.
00:48:14It scared me that I'm falling backwards.
00:48:18The timing isn't right for me to share that I'm pregnant yet.
00:48:22Because Carlton is starting to do this on his own.
00:48:25And I'm worried that he's going to start to slip up when I stop doing it with him.
00:48:29So I'm just hoping I have been able to stay on track this time.
00:48:52We're back at Dr. Nouns to see what our progress is.
00:48:55I'm hoping I'm at least on track.
00:48:57I was at 364 last time.
00:49:00And I'm supposed to be losing 25 pounds a month.
00:49:03So if I'm on track, I should be 50 pounds down and at 314 today.
00:49:14I'm really disappointed.
00:49:16I was hoping I had at least some progress.
00:49:18So this is really upsetting.
00:49:20And I feel like I let Carlton down.
00:49:22And I'm going to have to explain that.
00:49:24Because I can see that he's a little shot.
00:49:26I'm worried about the idea that I haven't lost any weight.
00:49:38Because I've been adhering to the diet.
00:49:40Literally, I've been eating twice a day.
00:49:43I'm constantly hungry.
00:49:44So if my body hasn't changed, my mentality at least has changed.
00:49:48I've been eating twice a day.
00:49:54What?
00:49:56Oh my god, that's great.
00:49:58Oh my god.
00:50:01I told you.
00:50:03Y'all, that is awesome.
00:50:05I'm so proud of you.
00:50:07Seriously.
00:50:07Wee.
00:50:11OK, whenever you're ready.
00:50:16I'm happy to see some better progress with Carlton.
00:50:20But I want both of us to do well.
00:50:25I'm more concerned now about how the appointment is going to go.
00:50:29Even though Carlton did better, I'm still not reaching my goal.
00:50:32And I'm worried Dr. Nell is not going to be happy.
00:50:35Close door.
00:50:37Let's go.
00:50:43Hello.
00:50:44Hello.
00:50:45How are you all doing?
00:50:49I'm doing OK?
00:50:52Yeah.
00:50:53Nobody seems to be very excited today, so let's see what's going on.
00:50:58Chantelle, I'm surprised to see you gain some weight.
00:51:01I didn't expect that, so what happened?
00:51:03Do you value your life?
00:51:06Yes.
00:51:07You do?
00:51:08Mm-hmm.
00:51:08OK.
00:51:09Are you still trying to even lose weight?
00:51:12Yes.
00:51:13I'm glad to hear that, but it doesn't make sense because you should have been making more
00:51:18progress then.
00:51:19And it looks like you even have your walker with you again.
00:51:22You're completely going back in the wrong direction again.
00:51:26Do you want to explain to me what's going on?
00:51:30I've been sticking to the diet 100%.
00:51:32So this is the situation that you need to turn around now because if you don't, you're
00:51:37going to end back up where you were a year ago.
00:51:41It's not that we got magic to make a loose weight.
00:51:44Yes, I know.
00:51:45I'm going to give you the tool you need, the roadmap, but you have to do the work.
00:51:51OK.
00:51:52So everything ultimately is going to be up to you two to make those changes and stick
00:51:57with them.
00:51:58So make sure you get back on track.
00:52:00OK?
00:52:01Jonathan, I'm glad to see you continue improving with your progress.
00:52:05That's positive, but you still need to keep going and continue to lose more each one.
00:52:12OK?
00:52:13I'm trying.
00:52:14Really trying.
00:52:15He did very well.
00:52:17I'm, like, really proud of him.
00:52:19Any comment from Michael?
00:52:20I mean, it's great.
00:52:22He lost 30 pounds.
00:52:24I only prayed that we can do better.
00:52:27OK.
00:52:28Keep working and let's see if you can get back on track.
00:52:31All right.
00:52:32So I'll see you both in two months again.
00:52:34If you both don't stay focused, you're going to end up gaining your weight back.
00:52:39So you need to help each other to keep working hard.
00:52:42OK?
00:52:43Right.
00:52:44We don't want that.
00:52:45We don't want that.
00:52:46No.
00:52:47All right.
00:52:48Nice to see you.
00:52:51That was his pants, I thought.
00:52:54I am very surprised and almost shocked to see Chantelle do almost 180 degrees with her
00:53:01progress.
00:53:02The weight gain and needing the walker again does not make much sense to me.
00:53:07So something is going on that therapy may need to get to the bottom of it.
00:53:13Thankfully, Cartoon is doing well and improving his progress.
00:53:17That means that they are at least breaking the unhealthy dynamic they have had with each
00:53:24other.
00:53:25But that even makes it more confusing what's going on with Chantelle.
00:53:29If she continues on this track, next time I see her, she could be right back where she
00:53:35started.
00:53:36And if that happens, I'm not sure what more we can do for her.
00:53:40I am happy that Dr. Nell was glad about Carlton's progress.
00:53:48I'm just worried about how my falling behind is going to impact him.
00:53:52So I know I'm going to have to talk to Carlton and let him know what's going on.
00:53:56I'm just worried it could lead to him to stop trying as hard.
00:53:59If he gets too focused on me, or if I'm not there to keep doing everything alongside
00:54:03him.
00:54:04But with my game now, there's no more hiding it.
00:54:07I know I have to tell him everything.
00:54:09I'm just worried about how it's going to go and what happens after.
00:54:13All right, let me pull up the chair for you.
00:54:32Come on, baby.
00:54:33I'm going to slide you in.
00:54:35All right, you can get our tea drinks.
00:54:38All right, let me get that.
00:54:40I haven't felt like cooking or making anything.
00:54:42So we've been going out to eat a lot more.
00:54:44I've still been trying to eat healthy, but not as strict on things since I'm focused
00:54:48on my pregnancy.
00:54:49Hey, baby.
00:54:51I almost didn't find the tops.
00:54:53Oh, really?
00:54:54Yeah.
00:54:55All right.
00:54:57That looks great.
00:54:58Thank you very much.
00:55:00See, I love that.
00:55:01See?
00:55:02It sounds like super fat, but it's not.
00:55:04It doesn't even sound fat.
00:55:05Look at this.
00:55:06This is a little person meal.
00:55:09This is a glitch.
00:55:10Look how pretty that is.
00:55:12After me and Carlton's last appointment about four months ago, I told him I was pregnant
00:55:16and he was upset.
00:55:18Not that I was pregnant, but that I hadn't told him for months and that he felt like he
00:55:22was going to have to keep working on things alone.
00:55:24We were supposed to do this together.
00:55:26And this was messing that up.
00:55:28And Carlton's big fear that he told me was that he wouldn't be able to do it on his own.
00:55:32And that upset me because I want to be there for him.
00:55:35Now Carlton is even thinking about moving out with Monica and getting his own place.
00:55:41How you feeling right now?
00:55:43I was thinking about my brother.
00:55:46What about him?
00:55:47You know, me and my brother came here together and we, you know, diet together and we lost
00:55:52all this weight together and we just so motivated together and we kind of pick each other up.
00:55:57Like, he's my motivation, I'm his motivation, you know?
00:56:00And with me not being able to fully be on the 1200 calories because I'm pregnant, I just
00:56:05want to make sure that my brother doesn't, you know, lose track.
00:56:08Just because we always do everything together.
00:56:10Just want to make sure that he, you know, you know, just because this is like a stepping stone
00:56:14don't mean, you know, he can go backwards, yeah.
00:56:17Yeah.
00:56:18You got to keep pushing forward and doing as well as he's doing, so.
00:56:21Don't worry about him.
00:56:22He's going to be fine.
00:56:23You know it.
00:56:24Right now you need to focus on the pregnancy.
00:56:26Get what you need to do.
00:56:28Yeah.
00:56:29And then get him back.
00:56:30Yeah.
00:56:31Okay.
00:56:32I plan to go back to Dr. Nell after I have the baby in a couple of months.
00:56:36Right now I'm just focused on my family and my pregnancy.
00:56:39So I didn't go back to Dr. Nell for my follow up.
00:56:42Neither did Carlton.
00:56:43I'm focused on what I need right now.
00:56:45And we're both planning on reaching out to Dr. Nell once our lives settle down.
00:56:49I think it's going to take a few months for us both to get to that point.
00:56:52I know you got something else on your mind.
00:56:55What's going on?
00:56:56No.
00:56:57No, but I'm just excited about this baby and get back, you know, onto my goals.
00:57:02I love you.
00:57:03Love it too, honey.
00:57:04Can I have a kiss?
00:57:06What's up?
00:57:07Nice baby.
00:57:08Mmm.
00:57:10No.
00:57:11No.
00:57:11No.
00:57:12I don't know.
00:57:42It has been almost a year and a half since I have seen or heard from Chantel and Carlton.
00:57:50During the pandemic, we set up telemedicine appointments and they didn't follow up with me for any of them.
00:57:59So I'm not sure how they're holding up and how their progress has been.
00:58:04Chantel, this is Dr. Nizarudan. I was calling you and Carlton. It's been almost a year and a half. I haven't heard from you.
00:58:14I'm checking and seeing what's going on with you and Carlton, if y'all are making progress and what is the situation.
00:58:22So if you get a discount, please give me a call and let me know how y'all doing.
00:58:28Hopefully they are doing well, but at this point I'm not sure I'm going to see or hear from them again.
00:58:36I am mostly concerned about Chantel since the last time she was here, she was heading in the wrong direction.
00:58:45But at this point she and Carlton could have gone off the rails to undo all their progress.
00:58:52Usually when we can't get hold of someone, that is what it means.
00:59:00Hopefully that's not the case, but we won't know unless we manage to get hold of them.
00:59:07So I'm hoping we will be able to do that soon.
00:59:13At least we'll know.
00:59:31Chantel finally called me back a week ago.
00:59:34She let me know all that happened to them over the past year and a half.
00:59:39It looked like she got pregnant and she had another baby who is around a year old now.
00:59:45And during that time, she and Carlton had a bit of falling out.
00:59:51And it sounds like they both eventually went back to some old habits over the last year.
00:59:57Chantel told me they both gained weight, but I was shocked to see how much.
01:00:04Can I stand backwards?
01:00:06Yeah, that's fine.
01:00:07Yeah, that's fine.
01:00:12661.8.
01:00:18Carlton gained almost 200 pounds.
01:00:23Perfect shot.
01:00:26506.8.
01:00:27And Chantel gained 135 pounds.
01:00:44They're both still down over 100 pounds from their starting weight, but they both still gained a lot.
01:00:51So we have them here in the hospital to do an endoscopy to see what the situation is with them.
01:01:01You all right, Chantel?
01:01:02Yeah, I'm all right.
01:01:03How are you doing today?
01:01:05So at this point, I'm concerned they both have been overeating to such a degree that they could have switched their stomach back out to undo their weight loss surgery.
01:01:18If that's the case, we're going to have to start on over again.
01:01:23Hi, Chantel.
01:01:24Hey, Doug.
01:01:25How are you today?
01:01:26I'm all right.
01:01:27All right.
01:01:28So today we're going to do an endoscopy, which is we're going to give you some obvious addition.
01:01:33And we're going to look down on your stomach and softness and see if you stretch your stomach back out.
01:01:39Okay.
01:01:40And if that's the case, we're going to need to start from scratch with you.
01:01:45Okay.
01:01:46Okay.
01:01:47We'll get you checked out in a few minutes, okay?
01:01:48Okay.
01:01:49Thank you, Doug.
01:01:50All right.
01:01:51I'm hoping that my stomach isn't stretched out at all.
01:01:54I'm mainly worried about Carlton.
01:01:57Thank you so very much.
01:01:58No, you're welcome.
01:01:59I know I'm embarrassed about my weight gain and he is too, but he's really been hard on himself because of it.
01:02:05And now that we know how much we've gained, we both want to get back on track.
01:02:10We have come so far and we're still able to be a lot more active, but we're scared we're going to end up back where we were at the start if we don't do something now.
01:02:19So we agreed to come back to see Dr. Nell.
01:02:21Carlton really didn't want to do this.
01:02:23We haven't been as close over the past year.
01:02:26And that's been hard on me.
01:02:28It's been stressful.
01:02:29So the last thing I want for us is to find out that we undid our surgeries.
01:02:33If we have, then I don't know how Carlton is going to respond or what's going to happen to us.
01:02:49So you're going to have you open your mouth.
01:02:50You're going to bite down on that, okay?
01:02:51Mm-hmm.
01:02:52It's ready.
01:02:53You're going to get the light.
01:02:54Deep breath.
01:02:55We are doing endoscopy on Chantal right now.
01:02:58And so far it doesn't look good.
01:03:03Her stomach looked as big as ever.
01:03:09After a year of overeating, Chantal has completely stretched her stomach back out.
01:03:24has completely stretched her stomach back out, and she's done it.
01:03:34So it looks like she's on track again on her weight if something is undone.
01:03:42And let the answer.
01:03:47Okay, we'll finish with her.
01:03:54It's unfortunate that she has gone back to her old habits and let this happen.
01:04:15Hopefully, it's not the same with Carcrum.
01:04:19But I think it would likely be the same situation with him.
01:04:29Yes, ma'am.
01:04:31Watch your elbow. There you go.
01:04:34Sorry, sorry, reckless driver.
01:04:36That would have been my elbow, so thank you.
01:04:40We spared your elbow.
01:04:42For sure.
01:04:43All right.
01:04:47You're in good hands.
01:04:48I understand you're nervous.
01:04:50All right.
01:04:51Next one.
01:04:52Let me give you the picture, sir.
01:04:53Some oxygen going in your nose, Carcrum.
01:04:54It's okay.
01:04:55It's not on yet.
01:04:56Okay.
01:04:57Tighten up the bite block, okay?
01:04:58I'm going to take good care of you, okay?
01:04:59You'll be all right.
01:05:00Keep Carcrum.
01:05:01It's going to be all right.
01:05:02All right.
01:05:03Relax your head back.
01:05:04Lay your head back, Carcrum.
01:05:05There you go.
01:05:06There you go.
01:05:07Just breathe, ma'am.
01:05:08We got you, okay?
01:05:09I'm going to take good care of you, okay?
01:05:10You'll be all right.
01:05:11You'll be all right.
01:05:12It's going to be all right.
01:05:13All right.
01:05:14Relax your head back.
01:05:15Lay your head back, Carcrum.
01:05:16There you go.
01:05:17There you go.
01:05:18Just breathe, ma'am.
01:05:19We got you, okay?
01:05:21How you doing, Carleton?
01:05:24All right, dog.
01:05:26Ready.
01:05:31Yeah.
01:05:32Okay.
01:05:33All right.
01:05:34Okay.
01:05:35Okay.
01:05:36Okay.
01:05:37Close.
01:05:38Close.
01:05:39Right now, Carcrum's stomach is looking about the same as Shintang.
01:05:49Okay.
01:05:50Okay.
01:05:51Close.
01:05:52Close.
01:05:53Close.
01:05:54Right now, Carcrum's stomach is looking about the same as Shintang.
01:06:01Okay.
01:06:02out. He stretched his stomach back out too. Cartoon actually looks like his stomach is
01:06:16bigger than ever, so it is in a good situation with both of them, but especially with carton.
01:06:23Hey, we're all finished. Nothing to be nervous about.
01:06:53We're done. All done. Yeah, all done. You just went to sleep for a few minutes, okay?
01:07:03We're done. Good work, guys.
01:07:11We're going to have to start from scratch with Chantelle and Cartoon. They both need
01:07:17with the revision to fix what they have done. Without it, they both eventually are going to
01:07:25regain their weight. You all right?
01:07:28No, I'm all right. You all right? No. I know you're starving, though.
01:07:33Yes. But before I'm willing to take that step with each of them, they have to prove to me that they're
01:07:42willing to get back on the program and make the changes they need again. That is not going to be
01:07:48easy because they've both done a lot of damage, and it's going to take a lot of work to turn it around.
01:07:55It's not going to be easy.
01:08:14Dr. Nell, he want to see me, so I'm a little nervous. You know, me being pregnant, like I'm not really sure, you know, what he's going to say.
01:08:21Regardless of whatever he says, baby, it's just going to be fine.
01:08:25It's just harder to know because, you know, when you lose weight and then you get pregnant,
01:08:29you know, you naturally gain weight pregnant.
01:08:31So it's like, I'm just, like, a little nervous to find out.
01:08:35Don't be. No matter what it is, you're going to handle it.
01:08:39You're going to be all right.
01:08:42I'm ready to get back in the game, so I'm not even worried.
01:08:51After me and Carlton's endoscopy, Carlton and me had a big fight,
01:08:56so I couldn't get him to agree to go back to doctor now.
01:09:02He didn't want another surgery and to go through all that again
01:09:05and wants to try and lose weight on his own.
01:09:08So I was just doing the diet and exercises myself, and I made some good progress.
01:09:16But shortly after all that happened with Carlton, I found out I was pregnant again.
01:09:20Dr. Nell convinced me to come back, even if I'm pregnant, for a checkup,
01:09:26and to talk about my situation and what the possibilities could be.
01:09:31Chantelle?
01:09:41How you doing? Hi, how are you?
01:09:43I'm all right. I love the blue.
01:09:50I think I probably lost 50 pounds after I saw Dr. Nell.
01:10:01But then I think I started gaining again after I got pregnant.
01:10:07So there's nothing really I can do about that.
01:10:09496.
01:10:13Okay.
01:10:14All right.
01:10:15All right.
01:10:16So the room is ready, and we'll get you back to the room, and I'll let the doctor know you're ready.
01:10:19Okay.
01:10:20Okay. Thank you.
01:10:22Carlton wants to focus on his life and what he has going on.
01:10:25He and Monica got engaged, so he's busy focused on that step in his life.
01:10:29So I figured it was just all for the best, so he could be on his own if he wants to quit.
01:10:35I'm going to keep going on my own then.
01:10:42We're here.
01:10:43Yes, we are.
01:10:44Yes, we are.
01:10:46No matter what, you're doing great.
01:10:49Yeah.
01:10:50Pregnant-wise.
01:10:52No matter what he says.
01:10:53Yeah.
01:10:54We accept him and keep moving forward.
01:10:55And push forward.
01:10:56Yep.
01:10:57Because we know the goal.
01:10:58Yes.
01:10:59Thank you, baby.
01:11:00You're welcome.
01:11:05Hello.
01:11:06Hey, Doc.
01:11:08Doing okay?
01:11:09Yeah.
01:11:10Great.
01:11:11So you're pregnant again, huh?
01:11:13Yes, I am.
01:11:14Well, congratulations.
01:11:17So that will be number five?
01:11:19Yes, five.
01:11:20All right.
01:11:21So how is everything going with you?
01:11:23I'm going, I'm doing okay.
01:11:25So you're about the, four months pregnant about this point, huh?
01:11:29Yes, Dr. Neal.
01:11:30I will have a new little one in about five months.
01:11:33Okay.
01:11:34I lost 50 pounds, but I think I gained again because of the pregnancy.
01:11:37Well, and getting some weight during pregnancy is expected, but not 30 or 40 or 50 pounds.
01:11:45Yeah.
01:11:46So you need to watch your weight like you did last time.
01:11:49Yeah.
01:11:50And make sure that you eat healthy and make good choices and you don't get too much weight.
01:11:56Okay.
01:11:57So I'm going to give you a diet that you can follow during pregnancy.
01:12:00So you stick with that diet so you don't gain too much weight, okay?
01:12:04Okay.
01:12:05So you think you can follow that diet and be eating healthy during pregnancy?
01:12:10Yeah.
01:12:11Yes, sir.
01:12:12And keep it up?
01:12:13Definitely, Dr. Neal, because I really want to get healthy and get back on track
01:12:16and do anything you tell me and anything I need to do.
01:12:19She just wanted to finish the family.
01:12:21So after the pregnancy, we're definitely going back into the journey.
01:12:26Well, that's great.
01:12:27So at least you lost some weight since last time.
01:12:30So you need to keep that up.
01:12:32Okay.
01:12:33Okay?
01:12:34I'm going to make sure I get back to it.
01:12:35Okay.
01:12:36So how is Carlton doing now?
01:12:38He's good.
01:12:39Carlton's fine.
01:12:40I don't think he's going to do the program anymore.
01:12:42He's kind of going to do his own thing, but he is going to stick to the diet.
01:12:45And, you know, him and Monica, you know, they're doing a new life.
01:12:49Do you all still live very close together?
01:12:53No.
01:12:54No?
01:12:55No.
01:12:56No.
01:12:57He went on, but he is doing well, so.
01:12:58He's on his own?
01:12:59Mm-hmm.
01:13:00He's on his own.
01:13:01Yeah.
01:13:02We decided to, like, separate, and I focused on what I need to do.
01:13:03He focused on what he needed to do.
01:13:04Okay.
01:13:05So I wish him well.
01:13:06Okay.
01:13:07And tell him I say hello.
01:13:09Okay.
01:13:10All right.
01:13:11So you're going to stick with the program, and you're going to try to lose some weight.
01:13:14Right.
01:13:15Yeah.
01:13:16I don't know how much I can do until I have the baby, but I'm going to try.
01:13:19Well, you need to keep your weight gain during pregnancy to proper minimum.
01:13:25And right now, you stick with the diet we give you during pregnancy, but then after surgery,
01:13:30you go back to a 200-calorie diet.
01:13:32And if you show me that you're serious about it, then we'll consider a revision of weight
01:13:37loss surgery for you.
01:13:38Okay.
01:13:39Okay?
01:13:40So that's going to be the plan that you're going to have to show me that you're serious
01:13:43about it.
01:13:44Do you think you can do that?
01:13:45Yes, I do.
01:13:46Because I really want to, I wanted to extend my family, but I also know my health is important.
01:13:51I need to get on, you know, where I need to be.
01:13:54So I pause.
01:13:55Like I lost weight, but I stopped.
01:13:56But once the baby is gone, I'm 100% going to stick to it.
01:14:00Everything you tell me.
01:14:01Okay.
01:14:02So we're going to work and help you to do that, but it is going to be up to you to work hard
01:14:08and do the diet and everything you need to do to maintain healthy weight.
01:14:12Okay?
01:14:13Okay.
01:14:14So anything you tell me to do, I'll do.
01:14:15Well, do you think you're going to support her in her weight loss and getting healthier?
01:14:21Yes, sir.
01:14:22So that's going to be a good, positive thing that, you know, you're going to have to do
01:14:27this together.
01:14:28And the support that you're going to give her is going to be a very important thing.
01:14:32Okay?
01:14:33She got my support 100%.
01:14:34So we're going to exercise.
01:14:37We're going to eat right.
01:14:39We're going to do what we had to do to get to our goal.
01:14:41So that's the plan.
01:14:42She's important to me right now.
01:14:44Yeah.
01:14:45This is your fifth pregnancy.
01:14:47Are you thinking to have more kids after this?
01:14:50Oh, no, no.
01:14:51You see, we both said no, no.
01:14:52This is it.
01:14:53No.
01:14:54This is it.
01:14:55Yeah, this is it.
01:14:56So how old is the oldest one?
01:14:58We have 12, 11, 8.
01:15:00I'm one and then I'm pregnant.
01:15:02Okay.
01:15:03And how many boys or how many girls?
01:15:05Two boys and now this is a girl, three girls.
01:15:08Three girls, two boys and three girls.
01:15:10Yeah, I'm in trouble.
01:15:11All right.
01:15:14Well, that's great.
01:15:16And I see that you both work hard to support your family.
01:15:21So the key issue is stay healthy and be there for the kid to guide them.
01:15:28And one of the things that you're going to be needing to focus on is your health.
01:15:32Okay?
01:15:33And that's going to be the most important thing.
01:15:36You have to be there for them and you have to take care of them.
01:15:40So this is a great responsibility for you.
01:15:43So follow this diet we're going to give you during the pregnancy.
01:15:47Then after pregnancy, you're sick with 1200 calorie diet.
01:15:51Okay.
01:15:52That sounds like a problem.
01:15:53Okay.
01:15:54All right.
01:15:55So anything we can do for you at this time, let me know.
01:15:58And you're taking your vitamins too, right?
01:16:01Yes.
01:16:02Okay.
01:16:03All right.
01:16:04Chantelle, we're going to do some tests on you.
01:16:05Make sure everything's okay.
01:16:07And then after that, we'll let you go.
01:16:09And then we'll see you next time.
01:16:11Okay?
01:16:12Okay.
01:16:13All right.
01:16:14So sit tight.
01:16:15Then I'll come do some tests on you.
01:16:16Okay.
01:16:17All right.
01:16:18See y'all.
01:16:19Nice to see you too.
01:16:20And if you didn't think, give me a call.
01:16:21Okay.
01:16:22All right.
01:16:30That wasn't hard, was it?
01:16:32No, it actually went better than I thought.
01:16:34I know, right?
01:16:35Yeah.
01:16:36I think that was very helpful.
01:16:37Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean that you're not going to continue your journey.
01:16:41Yeah, stick to it.
01:16:42You're going to stay joint because I got you.
01:16:43Yeah.
01:16:44You know that, right?
01:16:45Yeah, y'all know.
01:16:46After I told you I love you?
01:16:47Yes, I love you too well either.
01:16:49And kiss.
01:16:50All right, baby.
01:16:52I'm happy to see a little progress and evidence from Chantelle that she's ready to get back
01:16:58to doing what she needs.
01:16:59It is unfortunate that she and Cartoon seem to have had fallen out and that he's not willing
01:17:05to continue with the program right now.
01:17:08Hopefully, he changes his mind at some point and we can help him to turn things around
01:17:14again before he regains all his weight.
01:17:17But right now, that is where he's headed.
01:17:20But at least Chantelle seems to be ready to get back on track.
01:17:24I'm proud of the progress she has made over from the start, even with her setbacks.
01:17:30And if she's serious again and sticks with it this time, instead of vanishing for chunks
01:17:35of time, then we can do revision on her a couple months after she has had her baby and
01:17:41then work with her to get her down to her target weight over the next 18 months.
01:17:46But once again, this is all going to be up to her to make it happen.
01:17:50I'm really happy that I ended up coming to this appointment.
01:17:56I didn't think Dr. Nell would be able to do anything for me while I was pregnant.
01:18:00But I'm happy to know that there's a healthy plan to follow.
01:18:03That's encouraging.
01:18:05And Dr. Nell's willingness to help is encouraging.
01:18:08So I'm ready to start losing again.
01:18:11But not if Carlton won't do it with me.
01:18:13Because I don't want to leave him behind.
01:18:15If I hadn't got pregnant when I did, I think we could have made it.
01:18:18So I have to find a way to convince him to get back on Dr. Nell's program with me now.
01:18:23Or we'll both end up back where we started.
01:18:26And by then, it might be too late.
01:18:38It's a nice day to spend some family time together.
01:19:04All right, bro, watch him on those steps.
01:19:07All right, one step at a time.
01:19:10There you go.
01:19:11There you go.
01:19:12There you go.
01:19:13There you go.
01:19:15Yay!
01:19:16There you go.
01:19:17And he did it.
01:19:18Good job, Israel.
01:19:20Don't say freedom at last.
01:19:22Yeah!
01:19:23Since my last appointment with Dr. Nell, I've started doing Dr. Nell's diet to do while
01:19:29pregnant.
01:19:30And I'm not gaining right now.
01:19:31The weight gain I was seeing every month has stopped.
01:19:34Just to be able to spend time with my children.
01:19:37Even pregnant is really important to me.
01:19:39Oh, his shoe fell.
01:19:40His shoe is off.
01:19:41Get his shoe.
01:19:42I bet this part...
01:19:43Josiah's right there.
01:19:44Ow!
01:19:45A couple years ago, I wasn't even able to take one step or a few steps without being winded.
01:19:56I'll catch you.
01:19:58Once I make it, it's such a relief.
01:20:03Hey, bro.
01:20:04Yo.
01:20:05You got any snacks?
01:20:06Uh, yeah.
01:20:07And I feel behind you.
01:20:08Well, I should've got the good stuff.
01:20:11If I was a better example, maybe he would've ate better.
01:20:16But instead of just destroying my life with food, I'm the reason both of our lives are destroyed.
01:20:21Whoa!
01:20:22Don't let the baby go!
01:20:24Why is he running like that?
01:20:26Boy, get back here!
01:20:28Hey, that's cheating!
01:20:30No hands!
01:20:33Before Dr. Nell came into my life, I was counting down the days to my own death.
01:20:37But now I can actually do these things with my family.
01:20:41I'm excited about being able to be more involved in my kids' life.
01:20:44And, you know, that they have me as a mother and that they can depend on me and I can do anything that they need me to do for them now.
01:20:52I feel really excited.
01:20:53Like, I just feel grateful to God that I'm alive.
01:20:58I regret the things that happened with Carlton this time.
01:21:03But I'm not giving up convincing him to go back to Dr. Nell.
01:21:07I haven't made much progress because Carlton is planning a wedding.
01:21:11And once they get past all the things they have going on, I'm making it my mission to get them both on track.
01:21:18We have both come a long way.
01:21:20And even though we've had some setbacks, we're still both over 100 pounds down.
01:21:25Oh, dang it!
01:21:26Where you going?
01:21:27I can tell you.
01:21:28My struggles with food are not over.
01:21:30But mostly I am moving in a good direction.
01:21:33All right.
01:21:34You going back down?
01:21:35What?
01:21:36Game.
01:21:37Come on!
01:21:44Let's kick it.
01:21:45Let's kick it.
01:21:46Here.
01:21:47He's kicking it.
01:21:48Yeah, he's kicking it.
01:21:49Look.
01:21:50He's kicking it.
01:21:51Here.
01:21:52Come here.
01:21:53Look.
01:21:54Look.
01:21:55Trust me.
01:21:56My dream was to be able to be a part of my kid's life.
01:22:00He'd drop it and then kick it.
01:22:01And I'm doing that now.
01:22:03So I feel grateful every time I'm able to walk out the door with him.
01:22:06You want to go?
01:22:07You having fun?
01:22:08Yeah!
01:22:09You having fun?
01:22:10Yeah!
01:22:11You having fun?
01:22:12It's been a very rough journey.
01:22:17You know, Chantel has come a long way.
01:22:21And it's been hard, but it's a blessing.
01:22:24Spending time with the kids has always been our dream.
01:22:29You know, just raising our kids, watching them grow, play with them.
01:22:35So I believe when she's done with her pregnancy, then she can continue her journey.
01:22:43It's getting dark, Chuy.
01:22:44Taking time to go?
01:22:45About to.
01:22:46Yeah.
01:22:47What are you doing?
01:22:52Y'all tired?
01:22:53Yeah.
01:22:54Y'all ready?
01:22:55Yeah.
01:22:56Yeah, we losing the sun.
01:22:57It's getting dark, so I think we should go.
01:22:59But can we get some ice cream?
01:23:01You want ice cream?
01:23:02Yeah.
01:23:03Okay.
01:23:04All right.
01:23:05I got it.
01:23:06You got him?
01:23:07Ice cream.
01:23:08The difference now is that I'm excited about finally getting to do so many things I've never
01:23:12been able to do before.
01:23:14So I feel better about myself now.
01:23:15Could y'all help your mama up, please?
01:23:17Come here.
01:23:18It's happening slowly, but it is happening.
01:23:21Two, three.
01:23:22And I'm going to stick with it until I succeed after becoming more of a wife and mother
01:23:31I've always wanted to be.
01:23:32You want to get the kids ice cream?
01:23:33Yeah, I'm going to get some ice cream for y'all.
01:23:35Woo!
01:23:36Woo!
