Victoria Police investigate ram raid at luxury store in Melbourne’s CBD

Victoria Police are investigating a ram raid target attack on a luxury store in Melbourne’s CBD. It is the second incident on Collins Street in two weeks.

00:00so i'm here on collins street in the middle of melbourne cbd which is this area is really known

00:07for its luxury brands as you can see behind me the burberry store is here and the front window

00:14has been entirely taken off police say a vehicle rammed into this store damaging that shop front

00:21and on the left of me completely smashing this window now it's not known whether the alleged

00:25offenders took anything but i can see behind me on these shelves that there are a few bags missing

00:31there's also clothes puddled up on the floor police have not confirmed though yet what has been taken

00:37now it has raised the alarm for nearby shops i mean just across the road we've got a little boutique

00:43selling designer watches that would be the price of a house deposit next to them diamonds are on sale

00:49so you know this entire area has a lot of shops with very expensive goods and some of the owners

00:55in a nearby boutique came across and sounded very concerned the building manager here says that

01:00they're going to do everything that they can to make sure something like this does not happen again

01:04but in melbourne there have reportedly been six now including this one of ram raids of high-end

01:11designer stores last week fendi was a target louis vuitton not long ago police are gathering evidence

01:17as they have been all morning taking things out and the one of the bands just left with evidence

01:22and they're continuing to piece together what actually caused this and who is behind this latest ram raid

01:29and they're going to have all different kinds of things and what have you seen and what do they want to do
