00:04For the World Baseball Classic in 2026, Team USA has a new captain.

00:10He's the captain in the Bronx.

00:11He's now the captain of all of America.

00:14That would be Aaron Judge.

00:16Name the captain for Team USA for the 2026 WBC.

00:21DRS, you shared early in the show with a grunt and a, that's all I'm going to say.

00:27I believe this does not absolutely thrill you that Aaron Judge is the WBC captain for the United States in 2026.

00:36You know, I'd be upset with if it was Bryce Harper as the captain.

00:39Like, come on now, Bryce.

00:40Get your priorities together at this point.

00:42I mean, understand this.

00:43You do want to win a world championship.

00:45And technically, that would be a world championship.

00:47But I don't need to see my players playing in insignificant baseball games when I am worried about the season itself on the line.

00:54Then maybe it can propel you have a couple extra knocks in that series.

00:57Like, hey, you know what?

00:58It was good.

00:58But you could be doing the same thing fundamentally with your team at spring training in a more controlled environment at that point.

01:05They're going to play in it.

01:06That's what we get out of it.

01:07And baseball feels it's good for the sport to go more global at this point.

01:10But I understand this.

01:11Sometimes I do feel like you have the other teams from around the world take this really, really serious.

01:18For sure.

01:18But Team USA is like, yeah, you know what?

01:20We'll get out there and see what happens.
