Tension gripped West Bengal's Murshidabad, where protests against the Waqf Act turned violent as the mob resorted to vandalism and setting public property on fire.

00:00Charred remains of what was a traffic outpost here in Shuti in Mosheedabad.

00:06This of course was set on fire by angry protesters.

00:10This is Shuti P.S. traffic outpost, Jungipur police district.

00:17And this is located right adjacent to the national highway.

00:20This is the highway that was actually blocked by protesters yesterday.

00:23Angry protesters who clashed with police and then set this police outpost on fire.

00:31And I'll ask my camera person to show this is what remains.

00:35So the anger spilling onto the streets in Mosheedabad district as we have been reporting since yesterday.

00:42There have been several locations in which angry protesters blocked the national highway.

00:48The police had to use force, use lathe charge and fire tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.

00:56And what actually resulted in a clash between police and the locals here.

01:03There was stone pelting incidents.

01:06Several policemen got injured.

01:07And therefore things became extremely tense after massive protests that rocked various locations in Mosheedabad.
