Concerns about dust from building site

Ward councillors are supporting residents on Cale Lane, New Springs, as they speak out about dust covering the road, cars and houses.

00:00Here we are in Cale Lane, as you can see, everything's absolutely covered in dust.

00:04It's not fair to the residents, it's going on the cars, it's on the window edges, and we don't know what's in the dust.

00:11As Ron's just explained, Ron Cale Lane here, actually the dust and everything is terrible on this street.

00:17We've had lots and lots of complaints from residents.

00:19We're waiting for the development company to contact us, but we've not heard nothing.

00:24Tomorrow morning we'll be meeting with the enforcement officers of planning.

00:27We think it should be screened, definitely road sweepers should be on here daily, but we don't know what's coming out of this place.

00:35Over the years Cale Lane has suffered so much with the industrial estate, we've worked with people on that.

00:40The Baker Steel development, but now this, this is the straw that breaks the camel's back, so something's got to be different.
