00:06A reminder, the DSWD echoed and pounded into the heads of distressed residents of communities

00:12and in around a threatening Mount Canlaon along with the protocols to observe during evacuation.

00:28This was the appeal made by Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao,

00:33spokesperson of the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD

00:38to residents living near or within range of the eruption of Mount Canlaon.

00:44So you need not worry about food or other items kapag kayo ay lumilitas.

00:48Mas mahalaga po na protecto natin yung ating mga buhay.

00:51The government is ready to provide the necessary assistance to all of you.

00:55Based on the records of the DSWD, more than 12,000 families have been affected by the eruption of the volcano

01:03from 28 barangays in the Negros Island region and have received assistance from the agency.

01:09Dumlao also assured that the welfare of children, women, the elderly, and a person with disabilities

01:16will be taken care of, including their psychosocial needs.
