00:37Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairperson George Barcelon was pleased

00:42that the reciprocal tariff set by the US in the Philippines is not that high compared to other countries in the Asia region.

00:50Because of this, the Philippines has a comparative advantage.

00:54This means that the product of the Philippines is still cheaper in the United States

00:58compared to the product coming from countries with higher tariffs.

01:02Barcelon added that it is time for exporters to increase their production capacity to increase their earnings.

01:11We may also prepare increasing their production capacity.

01:16If you have a share already in the market in the United States, this would allow you to increase your share.

01:24Finance Secretary Ralph Recto said that the Philippine economy remains stable despite the change in the current situation.

01:33Although US President Donald Trump implemented a higher reciprocal tariff

01:39for the 100 countries that export their products to the United States,

01:43the Philippines is still the second country with the lowest tariff, which is only 17%.
