00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry Advisory Council

00:06established the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry in the country

00:11and affirmed its global competitiveness.

00:14Under the Administrative Order No. 31 passed on March 28,

00:18the President will serve as the primary advisor

00:21to the new Council on Administration and Industry Promotion.

00:25Under the Administrative Order, the S.E.I. Advisory Council will assist

00:29in implementing the Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Industry Roadmap

00:34to accelerate the development of the sector

00:37and to advance the national goal of the economy.

00:40Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs,

00:45Frederick Goh, led the establishment of the Council

00:48along with DTI's Vice Chair and other officials

00:52from NEDA, DOF, DOE, DOST, DOLE, DEPED, CHED, BCDA, and TESDA.

01:00Goh said that the order shows the strong support of the Administration

01:05in the Semiconductor and Electronics Sector, which is the country's primary export.

01:11He added that the Council will help in facilitating the implementation

01:17of the 1,000,000 jobs for Filipinos.
