Transcript
00:00So we are going live to the airport in Maiketia in the Venezuelan capital, the Bolivarian
00:26capital, as a new plane of Conviasa, the state-owned airline, is returning more Venezuelan migrants
00:34that have been rescued.
00:35This is the flight that was announced by President Nicolás Maduro of over 300 migrants that
00:40were rescued from the persecution of the United States, migrants that fled to Mexico, that
00:46fled the persecution of the U.S., to be able to return to their country.
00:53Good morning, Venezuelans.
00:58In this cloudy afternoon in the international airport, SimĂłn BolĂvar of La Guaira, accompanied
01:04by the different organizations of protections for children, adolescents, returned to the
01:10homeland, the Ministry of Transport, the partners of national security on the Red Cross, firefighters,
01:19to welcome a new group of Venezuelans that come from Mexico City, Venezuelans that have
01:28a special characteristic, because there are many children that are coming, many children
01:33are returning home, returning to the homeland.
01:37After all this journey with their family members, 314 people arrived in this flight, 313 people
01:49in this flight, 151 children, 16 men and women, 16 women are pregnant in this flight.
02:03Six children are traveling alone without a family member, and they're going to receive
02:13the best treatment, and we contacted with their families here, and they will be delivered
02:18to them, and we will do this after we check their family members.
02:22It's a flight that with this, over 1,610 Venezuelans have been returned from the United States,
02:31because those that are in Mexico, they are not really from Mexico.
02:34They fled from the United States to Mexico, and we have been doing this work, of course,
02:40for the regularization.
02:42From last week, we began to regularize the flights.
02:46Today we have this flight from Mexico, then we have another one today that we are going
02:52to go look for the people from Honduras that traveled from the United States to Honduras,
02:57and tomorrow morning, a direct flight from the United States, a planned return to the
03:04homeland, a policy of the Venezuelan state so that our nationals and Venezuelan citizens,
03:10wherever they are, can return to their country with a guarantee of a state that will take
03:16care of them, a state that will check every case individually.
03:24We continue to demand from Venezuela, raising our voices, demanding the government of El
03:31Salvador that has kidnapped, they are kidnapped, the government kidnapped, the kidnapping government
03:38of El Salvador of Mr. Nayib Bukele to return Venezuela, to return Venezuela its sons and
03:45daughters that they have over there kidnapped arbitrarily by them and the United States,
03:54and these people have not committed a single crime in El Salvador, and they cannot be judged
03:58in El Salvador because they have not committed any crime in El Salvador, and if they have
04:03committed any crime in the United States, it is the U.S. government's duty to judge
04:07them according to the justice system, is it arbitrarily that they believe to be the
04:12owners of the world.
04:15It is the belief of those that they have not even been able to organize a flight that they
04:20can tell us that so many are traveling and we have the amount that come.
04:26We will have a flight coming soon.
04:28They say there were over 199.
04:30We don't know for certain.
04:31We are waiting in the process to board them on the planes, on our planes that come from
04:38Honduras.
04:39Hopefully, they fulfill with their work, and tomorrow we are going to be receiving more,
04:45and we don't still have the list of those that are coming, and then we have to see those
04:50who get on board.
04:51It's a complete mess.
04:55One day they say they are all from Tren Aragua, and then the next day they say it's 102, and
05:00this is all lies.
05:02We have not received not a single one, not a single one of Venezuelans that have come
05:06of this 1,610 have no link with Tren Aragua.
05:11Only one of them is of a group here in Venezuela that was being sought by the Venezuelan justice.
05:18So there are some that have crimes, yes, and they are being processed, of course, by the
05:22Venezuelan authorities, but none have links with Tren Aragua.
05:26It was the urban myth that Tren Aragua in Venezuela is extinct.
05:37Those that remain were taken by Alvaro Uribe to Colombia.
05:41For what?
05:42To harm Venezuela.
05:43They work from up there, from Colombia, those that remain, protected by Ivan Duque and Alvaro
05:50Uribe.
05:53This is the truth.
05:55And one says this, and we have to do it, we have to repeat it every time that we have
05:59the chance.
06:00The United States has lied when it affirms that those that are being sent to Venezuela
06:07belong to Tren Aragua, and this is not true.
06:11They are trying to deceive the world, but the reality hits them in the face when we
06:16check the backgrounds and we see the families here in Venezuela that welcome a young man
06:22that has nothing to do with Tren Aragua.
06:25They've taken to El Salvador people with physical disabilities that are recognized by family
06:32members thanks to the videos that they have taken of the people that are being left over
06:41there, being subject to humiliations, and they are exposed, and their families began
06:47to claim here from Venezuela.
06:49We raise our voices with all Venezuelans, and we demand the respect of human rights
06:54of Venezuelans that are kidnapped in El Salvador.
06:58We welcome them here at the airport in La Guaira with a full team.
07:04The whole team of the Bolivarian Revolution is here to welcome them, and we will be here,
07:09and this should be regularized in a way, as we have been saying, little by little.
07:15They will all come through here, through that tunnel, without any kind of inconvenience
07:20with their children.
07:22They will be taken care of in there.
07:25We have created the conditions in the airport to better the conditions for the people that
07:29arrive and to make the process more rapidly.
07:35So if there aren't any questions, yes.
07:38The Venezuelan opposition in this moment, through different social media, has created
07:45a narrative where Venezuelans that are arriving are delinquents and are assaulting and are
07:54supposedly harming the Venezuelan people.
07:56What is your opinion about this?
07:58Well, I will insist, those that have arrived with some kind of criminal record are at the
08:07disposition of the courts.
08:10Those that have arrived, that have gone to their homes, that were taken by any security
08:17force organization, that the partners from the organizations have taken care of them,
08:22the children, that we do follow-up.
08:26We have not a single report that these people are involved in crimes.
08:31Now, the Venezuelan opposition has always done this.
08:35Yesterday, from this week, we ordered investigations because we saw on the social media, people
08:40say that someone stole me in a light, and my cousin, and my cousin, and my sister, but
08:46no one puts the denunciation.
08:48So we are going to facilitate that they can put the denunciation, the official claim,
08:53so that we can find those people.
08:55Because in Venezuela, there's cameras everywhere.
08:589-11 is all over Venezuela.
09:01And we are linked with the cameras that shopping malls have, that residential buildings have.
09:08And when you go to the cameras, and you go on Wednesday at 3 p.m., someone stole you
09:13in that corner, in that light, that must be over there in the cameras.
09:19If it is not there, someone is lying.
09:22And there we will prove how they set a campaign to continue in fear, feel fear in Venezuelan
09:31people.
09:32And if someone comes and has committed a crime, be certain that Venezuelan justice will come
09:37and visit you.
09:38And with the same love that we receive them here, the people that commit crimes will be
09:42there as well.
09:43The crimes of violations of international law and human rights, what's the answer of
09:49the national executive before organizations like the United Nations and the Commission
09:54of Human Rights?
09:56What answers can we expect from this situation that Venezuelan migrants are experiencing?
10:01Well, we're waiting for their response, the immediate response, and call those responsible
10:06of the violations of human rights.
10:09But we know that sometimes this is like a windmill, that no one will stop them.
10:16But we must defend our people.
10:19And we have received from the government of El Salvador and the United States an arrogant
10:24response of knowing that they violate the human rights of citizens, but it's them that
10:31do it.
10:32At some point, justice will have to answer to this.
10:35At some point, justice will have to answer to this.
10:39Justice will have to answer before the calls that Venezuela has made and the claims to
10:45safeguard the human rights of Venezuelans wherever they are.
10:54Is there any management of the government of people that have been trapped in the border
10:57between Mexico and the United States?
10:59There are some people that are kidnapped in the border between Mexico and the United States.
11:04Is there any coordination to try to liberate them?
11:07No, we cannot.
11:10What happens in the United States is the responsibility of the government of the United States.
11:15It's their responsibility.
11:17It's a persecution that they have made and have forced people to flee to any place, not
11:22only to Mexico.
11:25We saw a person that was fleeing to Canada.
11:27In Canada, he's going to be treated the same.
11:30The only destiny is Venezuela.
11:33Come to your homeland.
11:34Come to your country and come work for your country.
11:37You will be welcomed as the way you were before you left because no one was being persecuted
11:41here.
11:42This is part of the great campaign against Venezuela.
11:56They know this.
11:59The head of the organization is here.
12:02One day, we told the coordinates where they were exactly, at least 16 of them, to the
12:08Colombian authorities, 16 with names and last names of the place where they were, and they
12:15only captured one.
12:17Then they made a fuss that they had over there detained one from the Tren Aragua and then
12:22someone.
12:23This is the Tren Aragua.
12:24Besides being part of the campaign against Venezuela, that today they captured a person
12:32that had criminal records in Zulia and said that it belonged to Tren Aragua and that he
12:36was presented as a member of Tren Aragua is the campaign against Venezuela, where security
12:41organizations in Colombia, you know who is in control of them.
12:44Everyone knows who controls those organizations.
12:47Alvaro Uribe controls not only security organizations, but also the courts.
12:51The attorney general controls anything that has to do in Colombia.
12:56Alvaro Uribe and Ivan Duque are the ones in charge of everything.
13:01We condemn this.
13:03We call for seriousness.
13:06If you don't have proof that someone belongs to Tren Aragua, don't talk out of your mouth
13:11because years ago, this is part of the campaign that they want to harm Venezuela.
13:16Now, if you have someone that truly belongs to Tren Aragua, you are waiting here in Venezuela
13:20for that person to pay for all its crimes that it committed in Venezuelan territory.
13:25We just heard that Lionel Monero was just detained for inciting hate.
13:30Can that be confirmed?
13:32Yes.
13:33That gentleman came in the flight that came from the United States.
13:38Now, it's proven, and this is public information, the media campaign that that man had against
13:45Venezuelans, and several have put some denunciations in the organization.
13:50And that's why that person is being processed in Venezuela for crimes committed against
13:55Venezuelans that is contemplated within the hate law.
13:58That's very simple.
14:00He who commits crime will be taken to the courts, no matter what his name is.
14:05Yesterday, you said that Juan GuaidĂł traded with the asylum petitions in the United States.
14:13Juan GuaidĂł traded with the asylum petitions in the United States.
14:20Of these migrants that have returned, are some that are like that?
14:24Yes, of course.
14:25We have our own list.
14:27Everyone that left is because they have been seen the way how the coyotes took them, how
14:33they were humiliated, kidnapped.
14:35Some were kidnapped in some places.
14:38Pedro LĂłpez, Julio Borges, Ed Molanski, Pequio, Isarro, Paparoni, Miss Maria Corina, which
14:46is the leader of all of them, Antonio Ledesma, all of them are part of the criminal band
14:51that promoted that Venezuelans took the way of migration through coyotes.
14:57And it's there, it's signed in letters, where they say that they were being submitted
15:03to persecutions.
15:05And with that, it has a price.
15:07And to arrive to the United States, it was another one.
15:09And this is coming to an end.
15:11Well, let's now welcome the children and men and women that are arriving back to Venezuela.
15:16Let's welcome them all back to their homeland.
15:19So we were listening to statements of the Minister of Interior, Peace and Justice, José
15:26Cabello, as the plane carrying over 300 migrants arrived from Mexico, migrants that were forced
15:34to flee from the United States, fleeing from the U.S. persecution that is being carried
15:39out right now by the policies of that government against Venezuelan migrants, policies that
15:44have been denounced by the Venezuelan authorities in all sectors, in all stages.
15:49And this is another flight, one of three that are scheduled to arrive between today and
15:55tomorrow to continue to rescue the Venezuelan migrants to return.
16:00Something that makes this flight different, that makes it particular, is that there are
16:04151 children arriving in this flight.
16:08For the first time, that many children have arrived from one single flight being in this
16:13program, Return to the Homeland, that is part of the policies of the Bolivarian executive
16:20to safeguard the dignity and the human rights of Venezuelan migrants abroad.
16:25As President Nicolás Maduro has said on many occasions, Venezuela is the only country in
16:29the world that has been able to save the lives of thousands of Venezuelan migrants.
