00:00And as polling stations closed, we go now to our correspondent, Bruno Falsi, who is in Caracas, with more details on how this democratic process is unfolding. Hello, Bruno.
00:09I'm Bruno, and we are again here in Caracas, in the center of the city of Venezuela, where it happened this election for the mayors and for the first public consultation for the UNF.
00:30And now it's ending at 8 o'clock p.m., it's 8.30 p.m., and it's 30 minutes ago, it's finished the election, and all the schools and the electoral zones are closed.
00:47A long journey that started at 6 a.m. in the morning in all the country, and everything passed completely peacefully and very smoothly.
00:56People voted, millions of people voted, there was 21 million people who were listening to vote in this election.
01:06Remember that in Venezuela, the vote is not obligatory, and so it's a great participation for this kind of election, a municipal election.
01:17Now they are audited voting, as in this school. We are in Andrés Bello's school, one of many schools in all the country where it's happening this election.
01:31Remember that at the same time that mayors and councils are being voted, many young people, they are protagonizing a historical moment in Venezuela,
01:46where more than 5,338 communes voted in seven projects. Each of these communes voted in seven projects, where they elected two projects that are going to be financed by the state.
02:04And these young people are going to improve their lives in their neighborhoods. For example, they like sports, so they asked for construct poly-sportive,
02:19and they need better schools, better streets, and bus to take their work or their job.
02:31And so, everything happened fine, and now we have to wait for the results.
02:37So, this is now our third school where we passed, and we just have to wait to know what happened in this election, where participate the opposition and government force.
