00:04Maybe this is evidence of John Henry turning a corner.

00:09They're trying to do it with Campbell.

00:10They did it with, as you said, Raffaella and Bayo.

00:13They're trying to do it with Cassius, maybe not as successfully.

00:17We're going to lock these guys up and we're not going to spend 40, 45, 50 million a year

00:23We're not doing that.

00:24So, OK, you're not going to do that.

00:25That's fine.

00:26There are other ways to flex your muscles when it comes to the financials, and the Red

00:32Sox have a big, big advantage over most of baseball when it comes to bottom line, how

00:37profitable they are, the deep pockets they have.

00:40This is another way to do it.

00:41And if this is how you want to do it, to avoid spending 300 million dollars on a pitcher

00:45in free agency, trade for them, use your farm system, teal in Montgomery out, crochet in,

00:50you extend them.

00:51That's a great plan.

00:52And if this is what the Red Sox are going to start doing going forward, I'd applaud

00:56them.

00:57That's a good sign.

00:58They are.

00:59They are putting their money where their mouth is on that plan, finally.

01:01And so I want to give them too much credit.

01:03I don't want to get too far ahead of it.

01:04They are still one in four of suck to start the year.

01:07But there is that.

01:09This I like.

01:10This is what we were begging for from the second they acquired crochet.

01:13And now they've done it.

01:14So good for them.
