00:00Let's talk about this great win in Houston.

00:03We'll start here with Minwoo Lee,

00:04who a great week for us here at the grid

00:07because I know that you picked him for your one and done.

00:11So you had Minwoo Lee this week.

00:13On our golf Wednesday picks, I had Minwoo Lee.

00:15Our boy Keith Stewart had Minwoo Lee as well.

00:18So me, Keith Stewart and Smiley,

00:20all of us in on Minwoo this past week.

00:23So a huge week for us with his victory,

00:26his first ever win on the PGA Tour.

00:29If you watched full swing,

00:30you got a little behind the scenes look at Minwoo

00:32and his sister.

00:33I think a lot of people obviously

00:35have been backing him since then.

00:36To Smiley, great job by Minwoo Lee.

00:38Great win heading into the Masters.

00:40Yeah, the golf course Memorial Park

00:42didn't exactly test you off the tee.

00:44It's a very, not a very difficult golf course

00:48when it comes to tee to green.

00:50But you had to miss it in the right spots.

00:52There was tons of rain this week in Houston.

00:54Started on Monday, pretty much rained

00:56all the way through Friday.

00:57So Saturday and Sunday, the golf course

00:59never really had that same type of firmness

01:01and bite that it had the year prior

01:03where we saw Steven Yeager just edge out Scottie Scheffler.

01:06But if there was just a little bit more teeth

01:09off the tee, I would like it just a little bit more.

01:13Minwoo Lee was all over the yard on Sunday.

01:17I mean, he had some shots that would have been

01:20not only in a backyard,

01:22but it would have been in front yards.

01:23So he was lucky that he was playing a golf course

01:26where you weren't penalized very much off of the tee.

01:29Even the one shot that he did penalize himself

01:32was the 16th hole hits in the water there,

01:35but still finds a way to make a bogey on that par five

01:38and turned out to be just enough to win the golf tournament.

01:41It certainly did.

01:42And it had to be tough for him

01:44because you know that you're coming down the stretch,

01:48you're playing the last three or four holes.

01:50It's gotta be human nature to look up at that board.

01:53And when you see Scheffler get to 19,

01:57you're probably like, oh man, here we come.

01:59Scottie's just charging hard.

02:02Let's talk about Scottie for a second.

02:04No, he hasn't had any wins yet this year.

02:06He's been kind of getting a little bit better each week.

02:10I would say, Smiley, that's as good as a tune-up

02:12you would want heading into the Masters.

02:15How he played, especially, I thought,

02:16Saturday and Sunday in Houston.

02:19Well, he had a course record 62 on Fridays

02:21and really did it with his putter.

02:23The ball striking was okay those days.

02:25I think he really struggled with how soft the greens were.

02:29I think that the numbers would have been much, much better

02:31if the greens weren't so difficult

02:35to get the ball to stop.

02:36Back pins were just, you know,

02:38guys are hitting two extra clubs

02:40and just dead handing shots to keep it

02:42from spinning basically off of the green.

02:44I wouldn't say that would be Scottie's strength.

02:46I would say his strength is firmer greens

02:49where he's got to really hit into some tight areas.

02:51So this week, I wouldn't really necessarily

02:54look at those numbers and just use them as,

02:56oh, his iron game is okay.

02:59It really was fine.

03:01I saw a lot of really good stuff from Scottie,

03:03especially on Sunday where I got to watch him all day.

03:07Birdie four of his last six, had some chances at 17.

03:10And then 18 just totally misjudged the win.

03:14Still got up and down and still had a chance

03:16to, you know, make a playoff where, you know,

03:19I never really felt like he had a chance that day.

03:20I don't even think Scottie felt like he had a chance

03:23for the most part that day with how far

03:25Min Wu was out in front.

03:26But I think overall, when you look at his game

03:30and where he was at the beginning of the year,

03:31I think it was the right tune up for him.

03:33I think he should feel pretty decent

03:34about where his game's at.

03:37He certainly should as he,

03:39and Rory got a pretty good tune up

03:41going into the Masters as well.

03:43As of course, it'll be Scottie and Rory,

03:45stars of the show at Augusta next week

03:48for the Masters.
