00:00But yes, two star pitchers. First one coming up here, two decent matchups. I think one

00:06decent matchup, one could be tough if the Mets bats are coming around. The Mets have hit a lot

00:12of balls hard. They just haven't scored a lot of runs yet. I am not worried at all about the Mets

00:16offense. Houston has good pitching. Arrogate, Hunter Brown, for Amber Valdez. Those are some

00:21pretty good pitchers. And the last time I checked, Josh Hader is pretty good. So anyone who's freaking

00:25out about the Mets offense, don't. They were on the road to open the season. They had some

00:29moments there where they could have scored a lot more runs. They just didn't take advantage of them.

00:32So that will come around. This lineup is very good. But Bowden Francis is going to face that

00:36Mets lineup next week on the road in New York. He's also going to face the Washington Nationals

00:40at home. So those are two good starts. Bowden Francis last year, good strikeout per nine,

00:45good ERA. Everything looked really good for Bowden Francis. The only question is,

00:49how many innings can he go? So this is the time to be using him, right? Streaming him off the

00:53waiver wire, if he's still available in your league. He qualifies at RP still in some formats

00:59as well. So keep that in mind. But Bowden Francis, to me, especially now that Scherzer is going to

01:04probably miss some time, he's not going anywhere in this rotation. He's the fifth guy, and now he's

01:08going to be the fourth guy. And now we're already looking for who the next fifth guy is. So Francis,

01:12the first one off for me. And despite the fact that in New York against the Mets isn't the ideal

01:16situation against that lineup, the unfamiliarity with Bowden Francis, I think also bodes well a

01:21little bit for him. They can kind of surprise the Mets a little bit. So despite that second

01:25matchup, are you starting Bowden Francis for these two starts with the weekly lineups, Matt?

01:31Yeah, I mean, again, it all depends on what I have on my staff around me. A concern could be

01:35that James Wood could take him yard and then say, bow down, Francis. He's put a little comma there.

01:40But either way, at this point, I'm not streaming anyone. So if I already have him on my roster,

01:45if I draft him or picked him up, then of course, but I'm not running out to go pick him up just

01:50because of these two starts. Joe. All right. Next up here is another Ray. It's Drew Rasmussen. So

01:56our guy, Ryan Pepio, look pretty good, right? That was a guy that I hyped up all season long

02:01in the off season. And now we're looking at another Drew Rasmussen start here because Shane

02:06McClanahan on the IL, he gets two starts next week. One at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates,

02:12an offense that I think you want your pitchers going against. O'Neal Carew is starting to look

02:15good, but still, he is the only guy got a pitcher out and he does have a lot of strikeout potential

02:19in there. And then at the Texas Rangers, a lineup that despite the fact that I have some upside

02:23power, also a fair amount of strikeout. So Rasmussen, if you go back and look at the stats

02:28from last year, very solid. I mean, the caper nine, 10.99. Now we only threw 28 innings last

02:34year. So we're looking at only four starts that he made 16 games. So he kind of bounced back and

02:39forth. Sure. There's concerns about Rasmussen, just like Francis. Will he live up to, you know,

02:44going into July, August, September, but we don't have to worry about that right now. All we got to

02:49worry about is week two or week one and a half, depending on how this works out. So these are two

02:55starts I want to take advantage of. I think he's in a good spot. So if you have them on your roster,

02:59play them. And if he's on the waiver wire stream of drew Rasmussen could be a really good under

03:04the radar pickup this week for those two starts, Matt, what are your thoughts on true Rasmussen

03:09and these matchups against Texas and Pittsburgh? So here's a little sneaky trick that I like to do

03:14early on in the season, especially when you have guys with good caper nine is find a book that has

03:19them at five and a half strikeouts, right? You're going to see them six and a half, seven, find that

03:24book that hasn't caught up because there's so many players. There's so many metrics. A lot of the

03:28books are great at it, but we're still in a period of time here with a lot of the books haven't caught

03:32up yet. Yeah. And I talked about lamenting the Paul schemes catch up. Well, you can find something in

03:37drew Rasmussen and find something in, in a team. Like I was talking about the A's before where you

03:41can find these little pockets where numbers don't match broken lines are going to mean

03:45fat pockets. I like Rasmussen a lot.
