00:00
Good morning to all of you, and live from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:05
The time is now Sunday, March 30, 2025.
00:11
And in our latest satellite images, we can see that we are monitoring a low-pressure area.
00:17
This was our observation yesterday, around 10 a.m.
00:21
And now, this is the last observation, at 330 km from Cuyo in Palawan.
00:28
Meanwhile, there is still a small chance that this will become a typhoon.
00:31
But the low-pressure area brought by the clouds will bring a cloudy sky
00:36
and a high chance of rain here in the part of Mimaropa and Western Visayas.
00:42
Based on our latest data, there is still a small chance that this low-pressure area will become a typhoon.
00:48
We will notice that in March, there are very few typhoons in our country,
00:53
within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:55
One of the main reasons for this is because the ocean is not yet that hot
01:00
near our country, that's why typhoons are not yet formed.
01:04
A hot ocean is needed for typhoons to form.
01:06
That is one of the important ingredients for typhoons to form.
01:11
Meanwhile, aside from this low-pressure area,
01:13
you can see these clouds in the eastern part of our country.
01:17
This is the tip of the Easter list, or the wind that blows from the Pacific Ocean.
01:22
We can see a lot of clouds here in the eastern part of Luzon,
01:27
Bicol Region, Quezon Province, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.
01:32
So, our country's eastern part is expected to have a high chance of rain.
01:37
In other parts of our country, we can see, especially here in Luzon,
01:41
there is not much rain that we can experience,
01:43
but it is still possible to experience isolated rain, hail, and thunder.
01:48
Aside from LPA, we don't have any other potential
01:51
to have bad weather inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:57
Here in Luzon, we can see that there is a high chance of rain.
02:01
In Mimaropa, the tip of the clouds bring low-pressure area.
02:05
Meanwhile, in Bicol Region and Quezon Province,
02:08
we are also expecting a high chance of rain,
02:11
the tip of the Easter list.
02:12
In the eastern part of Luzon, here in Baboyan Islands,
02:18
the sky is cloudy with low chance of rain,
02:21
followed by northeasterly wind flow.
02:23
Meanwhile, in the eastern part of Luzon,
02:25
including Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Northern Luzon,
02:28
we can experience isolated rain, hail, and thunder.
02:33
The average temperature outside is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:37
In Tuguegarao, 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.
02:40
In Baguio, 17 to 26 degrees Celsius.
02:43
In Metro Manila, 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:46
In Tagaytay, up to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:48
Meanwhile, in Legazpi, up to 30 degrees Celsius.
02:52
Here in Palawan, we can see that there is a high chance of rain,
02:56
the tip of the clouds bring low-pressure area.
03:00
The average temperature outside is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:05
In Puerto Princesa, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:08
Western Visayas and Eastern Visayas
03:13
can also experience low-pressure areas and easterly winds.
03:18
So be careful of the potential of sudden floods and landslides.
03:23
Central Visayas can experience isolated rain, showers, and thunderstorms.
03:28
The average temperature outside is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:31
In Cebu, 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:34
Meanwhile, in Iloilo, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:39
The eastern part of Mindanao, the Caraga and Davao regions,
03:43
can also experience a high chance of rain and landslides.
03:46
Meanwhile, the southern part of Mindanao,
03:49
can experience isolated rain, showers, and thunderstorms.
03:53
The average temperature outside is 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:57
Meanwhile, in Zamboanga City, 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:01
Meanwhile, in Davao, 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:05
Yesterday, we recorded the highest heat index in our country,
04:10
particularly in the area of Lawag City, in the province of Ilocos Norte.
04:14
It reached up to 43 degrees Celsius.
04:16
This is still in the danger category.
04:18
Also in MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte,
04:21
we recorded 42 degrees Celsius.
04:24
Again, this is the heat index.
04:26
In Metro Manila, 36 to 37 degrees Celsius
04:30
is the highest heat index experienced yesterday.
04:35
Today, March 30,
04:37
we expect the area of Lawag City, MMSU, Ilocos Norte,
04:45
Dagupan, Pangasinan, and Davao City, Davao del Norte,
04:49
40 degrees Celsius in Bacnotan, La Union,
04:52
and ISU, Etchague, in the province of Isabela.
04:56
Please be careful.
04:57
Because of the hot weather,
04:59
heat stroke and heat stress are possible.
05:01
We should avoid going outside our homes,
05:03
especially in the afternoon.
05:05
Sometimes, it reaches up to 3 to 4 p.m.
05:07
The weather is still hot.
05:09
In Metro Manila, 37 to 39 degrees Celsius
05:12
is what we expect to be the heat index for today.
05:19
For now, we don't have a high gale warning.
05:21
So, for those who will sail in our seas,
05:23
please be careful when sailing on small boats
05:26
in our neighboring countries.
05:28
Even though we are in the northern section of Luzon,
05:31
we are in the middle of the sea.
05:33
So, please be careful, especially on small boats.
05:37
Our sun will rise at 5.53 a.m. and set at 6.08 p.m.
