00:00Let's start with this NBA deal with FIBA that they're going to start a EuroLeague.

00:43Is this why they're going there?

00:45Because like you hear coaches all the time now talk about these European players are

00:51more complete.

00:52Their games are solid.

00:53There's nothing that they miss.

00:56That they're coached right.

00:57They play right.

00:57They play the game right.

00:59And Americans don't.

01:05Look, the NBA is going there because they want more money.

01:17The domestic market is still what especially with the new TV deal.

01:20That's what drives revenue for the league, right?

01:22That's the primary revenue source.

01:25But growth opportunities, Scott, I mean, how much more can you get out of the domestic

01:31market?

01:32Internationally, though, that basketball market, I should say, in Europe is untapped.

01:38It's completely untapped in Asia.

01:40And they started the Basketball Africa League where it's still a really minor sport.

01:46The NBA is about that's the opportunity for growth.

01:49That's the opportunity for for growing the brand, frankly.

01:53And that's what this is about.

01:54They're going to try to start a league in Europe that knocks the Euro existing Euro

01:58League kind of off its axis, takes over that space and monetizes that for the NBA.

02:05Since Maury screwed up China, Silver's been trying to fix that bandaid, right?

02:11I can peel that back and get a relationship going with them again.

02:14He has, and it's it's gotten better incrementally.

02:19The NBA is back on television over there.

02:20It's been back on streaming.

02:21It's kind of back to a normal situation in a detente for now.

02:26I don't know how fast they're going to grow over there, but that's a massive market.

02:30And the NBA is back on there.

02:31And it's still it's still got a big draw.

02:36If and when, frankly, when eventually there's another player from China or even that part

02:41of the world in the NBA.

02:43You know, already with the Japanese players, it's just huge when they come here with the

02:49Chinese guys who are sometimes just in the summer league, the media following is huge.

02:53So the market is still definitely there.

02:57So obviously, the Lakers needed that game last night.

03:01The Pacers had been on fire.

03:04They took the lead on the Hallie shot.

03:07And then you get the Luca, I thought, which was a great look.

03:11And a runner in the lane and he misses.

03:14But LeBron tips it in.

03:16They needed that the way they've been playing.

03:18And then they got to go at it again tonight.

03:21Against a sneaky good Bulls team, by the way, like if you're just looking at this from a

03:25betting angle.

03:27Kobe White and Josh Baden.

03:29Fantastic lately.

03:30Remember, the Bulls beat the Lakers long ago, basically by.

03:35Using those two guys to exploit the fact that the Lakers switch everything on defense.

03:39And they don't there's guys you can absolutely target on that end.

03:42So it's going to be interesting to watch what kind of revenge the Lakers go after.

04:35So I think it's an interesting question as to how real this is in Chicago.

04:46He's taking a big step forward.

04:48But how much of this translates next year?

06:18And the fact that that guy honestly plays this game like he's not afraid of him.

06:30Saw him this week get a quality.

06:31Last week, I should say, get a quality win against the Clippers when they didn't have

06:34J-Dub and they didn't have Chet in the lineup.

06:37And, you know, Shea had an off-shooting night and they found a way to win.

06:41I honestly think there's.

06:43I honestly, if I had to pick right now, I'd say the trophy is going to land in OKC.

06:46I'm that high on them.

06:57So it would be a fascinating series to see them try to put Holmgren and Chet.

07:11Do you think that they'll be healthy, like with Gordon, Porter, Murray and Joker and

07:17Brown when it's playoff time?

07:19Because that's all that matters, because they have not been putting those guys all on the

07:23floor and not like I heard at some point they're giving Gordon rest.

07:27Is he injured or not?

07:29And do you think they'll be healthy in the playoffs?

07:33I think they'll be healthy when the playoffs start, but they don't have to sustain any

07:38kind of injury that goes very long.

07:40So it'll be interesting.
