00:00Let's now move on to the WNBA, and it seems like every day there's a new controversy, by the way, going on in the WNBA.
00:05But look, if we're talking about the league, that's a good thing for them.
00:09It makes the teams more interesting, and it certainly makes the league more valuable.
00:14One team in particular in the New York Liberty, Renee, seems to be the beneficiary of that.
00:20Absolutely. Listen, in sports, you have to talk about it.
00:23There's the controversy. There's the rivalries. There's the beats. There's the competition.
00:28That's what makes sports so great, beyond even just who's winning and losing.
00:31And to hear that the reigning WNBA champions in the New York Liberty just set a new historic record with their $450 million valuation.
00:39They have a group of investors that they're adding to what the Psy family's already been building on.
00:43Since they purchased a team in 2019 for $10 million to $15 million,
00:47they've added so much to build this championship-contending team year after year,
00:51including a new facility that they're announcing is coming out in 2027.
00:55That's going to be a massive, massive 75,000-square-foot, $80 million project just created by the players for the players.
01:02And I think that's why the league, as you mentioned earlier, has had more in the news,
01:06because the players are actively doing their part to build their brand, build the league,
01:10which, as a result, is building the audience as well.
01:13Yeah, definitely so.
01:14And it doesn't hurt that Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are arguing and battling it out every single game.
01:19Something's going on, causing people to fight amongst themselves, too, as we've seen on social media.
01:24A story for them.
