United States (US) President Donald Trump on Wednesday (March 26) thanked the "hundreds of thousands" of Muslim Americans who supported him during the 2024 presidential election as he hosted the first White House Ramadan iftar dinner of his second term. 00:12I also want to extend a very special thanks to the hundreds of thousands of Muslim Americans

00:20who supported us in record numbers in the 2024 presidential election.

00:25It was incredible.

00:27We started a little slow with you, but we came along.

00:31And by the time that election was finished, we figured we went up like a rocket ship.

00:36So I just want to thank everybody very much for that.

00:38That was great.

00:39And in particular, I want to thank two great gentlemen, the mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan.

00:48He's done a great job as mayor and he's done a great job with his support of us.

00:56And Mr. Amir Ghalib.

00:59And thank you very much.

01:00You were such a tremendous endorsement right at the right time.

01:04Your timing was excellent.

01:05Thank you very much.

01:07And you'll be the next ambassador to Kuwait.

01:11And you're going to have a great time with Kuwait.

01:35Those guys, you're very upwardly mobile.

01:40Every day, we're keeping our promises to the Muslim community.

01:43My administration is engaged in relentless diplomacy to forge a lasting peace in the

01:48Middle East, building on the historic Abraham Accords.

01:52Which everybody said would be impossible.

01:54And now we're going to start filling them out.

01:56Because, as you know, Biden did nothing to fill them out.

01:59He did absolutely.

02:00We had the four great countries.

02:02And nothing happened, despite the importance of the Abraham Accords.

02:06But I have a feeling it's going to fill out very quickly.

02:09People are talking already about it.

02:11They should have had them long, long ago.

02:14It should have been done.
