00:00The DFA is dismayed by Timor-Leste's refusal to extradite the ex-Congressman Arnulfo Tevez Jr. back to the Philippines

00:08while recommending to the Dutch government not to grant the asylum requested by Attorney Harry Roque.

00:21The Department of Foreign Affairs is dismayed by Timor-Leste's decision not to grant the Philippines' request

00:27to extradite the ex-Congressman Arnulfo Tevez Jr.

00:31This will show Timor-Leste's lack of trust in the Philippine justice system, a founding member of ASEAN.

00:37The DFA also said that the country is in agreement with the agreement of support for Timor-Leste in ASEAN.

00:43Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin-Riulla also said that the application of Timor-Leste will be put on hold to become a member of ASEAN.

00:52The secret plan of the Philippines also said to have a motion for reconsideration to extradite Tevez back to the Philippines.

00:59Tevez is the one who is being accused of killing Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.

01:04The DFA is recommending to the Dutch government not to grant the asylum requested by the ex-Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

01:11Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega said that there is no clinging to Attorney Roque.

01:17I can say that if we are asked, because the Netherlands will decide,

01:23but if the Philippine government asks for an opinion,

01:28of course, we will show that there is a demand and it is not politically oppressed.

01:34If the Dutch government asks for an explanation before deciding,

01:40we need to say the truth that the Philippines is a democracy.
