Argentine govt. to receive 20 billion USD from the IMF

00:0420 billion U.S. dollars from the International Monetary Fund.

00:07Economy Minister Luis Caputo said that the loan will be provided through a new agreement

00:11with the IMF to be signed in the next few weeks. Caputo also assured that with the agreement,

00:16it is expected that the Argentine central bank's gross reserves will increase to

00:20approximately 50 billion dollars. Media reports indicate that the minister did not specify how

00:25much of these funds will be destined to cancel the first installments of the programme closed

00:30in 2022, and how much will be destined to cancel non-transferable central bank bills

00:35held by the Treasury.
