00:00Budapest sets the stage for the middleweights on day four of the OTP Bank World Judo Championships.
00:08At under 63kg, Haruka Kaju made her World Championship debut, demonstrating a groundwork
00:15masterclass on her way to the final. With only two World Tour appearances leading to two Grand
00:22Slam goals, could she continue her perfect unbeaten record here in Budapest? Facing her in the final,
00:30was Catherine Beauchemin Pinard. Already with a World Silver to her name, she was determined to walk
00:36away with the red backpatch. She, too, showed impressive Neywaza throughout the preliminaries.
00:42She wasn't prepared to settle for second place again. In a tightly contested final, it came down
00:48to golden score. The next point would determine the world champion. A decisive piece of groundwork
00:54continued Kaju's Neywaza success, as she held her way to the top of the world.
01:05So many people came from Japan to support me here in Budapest,
01:09and I really wanted to give my best performance for them today, and I was able to deliver.
01:15World Rowing President and IOC member, Mr. Jean-Christophe Roland, awarded the medals.
01:24At under 81kg, triple world champion Tato Grigolashvili arrived in Budapest as the man
01:30to beat on his quest for a fourth title.
01:37The Georgian superstar has dominated the category with his explosive techniques,
01:41and was determined to extend his reign at the top of world judo.
01:49All eyes were on him as he worked his way through the preliminaries and towards history.
01:56Timur Abuzov stepped up to repeat last year's world final,
02:00but this time he was looking to flip the script and take the gold medal for himself.
02:06His performances throughout the day were confident and composed,
02:10and now with the gold medal match in sight, Abuzov looked ready to rewrite his story.
02:17He wasn't just chasing gold, he was chasing redemption.
02:21In the final, Abuzov needed to overcome one of judo's greats to claim his place at the top.
02:26He stayed calm under pressure and scored big with an ip on that may mark the start of a new era.
02:32I did it. I won because my friends, relatives and coaches were next to me and supported me all the time.
02:47Only because of that, I won the gold medal.
02:50IOC member Mr. Balazsviliš awarded the medals.
