00:00Robotics are going to fundamentally change what their jobs are, right?
00:03What tasks they're doing every day.
00:04So how do you think about that?
00:05And that's super exciting, too.
00:06It's creating new opportunities.
00:08I think we've all seen this.
00:09There's always this tension between how does this impact people?
00:12And I think we've always seen that automation and technology
00:15breakthroughs create opportunities and create new jobs.
00:18And I think it's hard to argue that Amazon has not been a great job
00:21creator in almost every domain, you know, you can think about.
00:24But automation is still inevitably going to come with concerns
00:27over worker replacement.
00:28And I know Amazon has invested a lot more than a billion dollars
00:32in this process of upskilling or teaching new skills to workers.
00:36Do you think upskilling is the solution to fears of replacement?
00:41There are two things.
00:42We continue to grow at a very high rate.
00:44And so the number of facilities, the number of jobs we're creating
00:48is been exciting to see.
00:49And then the second part is, yeah, the upskilling is creating new,
00:52exciting jobs and opportunities for potentially a group of people
00:55that wouldn't have that opportunity.
