00:17I realized that in the container of my school, there were a lot of sheets of paper,
00:21papers, bottles, and it frustrated me a lot to see that,
00:26because my grandmother taught me from a very young age to take care of the environment.
00:29I remembered that the recyclers passed through my house.
00:32Here in Latin America it is very normal that many recyclers usually pass through your house
00:37and tell you to buy bottles, cardboard, papers, everything you have,
00:41and you don't need it anymore, they buy it for you.
00:44So I said, aha, that's the solution.
00:46This way I can help prevent this from happening, and this way I can also help children get money.
00:51♪♪
01:04When you just take the courses, you will be able to bring other types of recycling,
01:08apart from white paper, and when you take the financial education course,
01:11you will be able to have your card with which you will do the financial operations.
01:14♪♪
01:28In my school, my classmates would tell me that, they would tell me,
01:31I haven't had breakfast, you can't invite me to your break,
01:34or they would tell me, can you lend me a pencil, please, I don't have one,
01:37and I don't want my other classmates to know.
01:39So I realized that the problems were not only there,
01:43but also outside of my school.
01:45I realized that there were many children who worked,
01:48many children selling candy,
01:50children cleaning the windshields of cars,
01:52children asking for alms, things that we shouldn't do,
01:55because they always teach us that children shouldn't work.
01:58♪♪
02:11Well, my dad is a very fundamental part of my project,
02:14because he helps me a lot, especially emotionally,
02:18because, despite everything, I am 15 years old,
02:21and managing a project with 5,000 children is a lot of stress.
02:25For me, it was super complicated to do this project at 7 years old,
02:28because even so, people didn't believe in me, in my own family,
02:32they didn't believe in what I was doing either.
02:35When I went to ask for help from the state, government companies,
02:39private companies, so that they could support me too,
02:42they closed the door for the simple fact of being a child.
02:44So it was super complicated to get this,
02:47or to make this project work.
02:49I'm really not very different from the guys my age,
02:52I just think that what makes the difference
02:55is that I decided to do something.
02:57We are the generation that is keeping quiet
03:00and that is raising their voice.
03:01We need to go further, more than that.
03:04We need not only to raise our voice,
03:05but we need to take action.
03:07So I invite all of you to see a problem in your society,
03:10because there are always problems, and find a solution.
03:13And well, let's show adults that children and young people
03:16are the ones who are making the change,
03:18not in the future, but from now on.
