The Ahmedabad-London Air India flight pilot made a Mayday call before the plane crash on 12 June 2025. I looked into what a Mayday signal is, and how air crashes are investigated. On 13 June, the airline confirmed that 241 out of 242 on board had died in the crash. Only one passenger survived. The impact also killed 24 people on the ground, among them were four medical students living in the hostel.
