00:00The health department reminded us that the two vaccines against TIGDAS are important and complete.

00:05This is in the face of the rise of TIGDAS cases across the country.

00:09This is the story of Bien Manalo.

00:13Now, different diseases are spreading again because of the hot weather.

00:18Len Destura's mother is doing it in different ways to keep her four children away from the disease,

00:25especially with the rise of TIGDAS cases in their area in Quezon City.

00:30I clean the surroundings.

00:33I also give them proper hygiene every day.

00:38If their hands are dirty, I wash their hands.

00:42I feed them vegetables, fruits, and I also give them vitamins.

00:48According to the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division,

00:53more than 300% of TIGDAS and QC cases this year were reported compared to the previous year.

01:00This amounted to more than 100 cases.

01:03The children under the age of 5 are the most affected.

01:07Of these cases, 60% were not yet vaccinated or the vaccine against TIGDAS was not yet complete.

01:14That is why the government and the local government are urging the public

01:19to visit the nearest health center in their area for additional information about the free vaccine.

01:26It is important to complete the two vaccines against TIGDAS.

01:30That is why the DOH is urging parents to go to the nearest health center

01:36for the schedule of vaccination in their area.

01:40According to the DOH,

01:41more than 100 cases of measles and rubella were reported from January to March 1 of this year.

01:49That amounted to more than 30% from the same time last year.

01:55Although the number of cases is increasing,

01:57the spread of TIGDAS by vaccines will be stopped

02:01and the hygiene of the body and surroundings will remain different.

02:05These complications can be avoided if the children are vaccinated against TIGDAS.

02:11The vaccination of measles, mumps, and rubella

02:14for children from 9 to 12 months old will continue in the health centers.

02:19The DOH is targeting the spread of measles, mumps, and rubella

02:25in different parts of the Philippines to stop the spread of TIGDAS.
