00:00Authorities warned the public to be extra careful because of the ash flow

00:05that was caused by the continuous eruption of volcano Laon by the PIA Western Visayas in Balitang, Pambansa.

00:18Volcano Laon and the continuous eruption of volcano Laon

00:21were warned to be extra careful because of the ash flow.

00:25The Department of Health, Negros Island Region, Center for Health Development warned the public

00:30to be extra careful because of the ash flow and the volcanic gases coming out of the volcano.

00:35According to the DOH, the flood should be protected by closing windows and doors,

00:41placing a wet cloth or cloth on the holes where the ash and volcanic gases can enter,

00:46and ensuring that the face mask is properly worn or the mouth and nose are covered with a wet cloth.

00:53For those with weak or low respiratory conditions,

00:56the DOH should provide adequate supply of inhaler and medicine to their homes.

01:02The DOH also added that food should be kept safe by washing your hands frequently while cooking,

01:10cleaning fruits and vegetables before eating

01:13to make sure that there is no dust on the food and to cover the mouth with a wet cloth.

01:19The DOH also asked the public to listen and obey the orders of the authorities

01:24to ensure their safety from the dangers of the eruption of the volcano.

01:30According to the V-Bogs, the alert status of Laon is now at alert level 3

01:35despite the thick clouds that came out yesterday.

01:38The Office of Ceremonial Defense and Task Force of Laon

01:41and the affected LGUs and local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices

01:46are preparing to raise the alert level.

01:49They will also remind the public and authorities to prepare for the worst-case scenario.
