00:30I opened the shelter with the belief that it is possible to provide really good care
00:55without it being an issue of we are doing a big thing for these animals because we are
01:02not.
01:03If you put the animal at the center of intervention, I think you will understand what I am saying.
01:25Initially I thought only about dogs and then because we are such a rural area, we had a
01:49lot of other animals coming to us for care.
02:16Look what we do to dogs.
02:18We have a dog called Kulhari because when he came to us, he had an axe on his head and
02:28we could see right up to his brain and it took about two years before he recovered.
02:48Of course it is not an easy situation to be in because you are responsible for so many
02:58lives.
02:59I think I wouldn't be half the person I am today if it hadn't been for the animals in
03:08my life, the people in my life because I think it is an incredible way to live your life
03:17and you are able to touch so many lives and make those lives better.
03:23What could be more satisfying than that?
