00:00I have always hidden all my crafts when I was a young boy

00:04and it's, for me, really nice to be surrounded by guys

00:09that are just real men and just guys

00:12that love the same kind of craft that I do.

00:15You always see women knitting in public.

00:26Starting this group was to help men

00:29become more comfortable knitting in public.

00:40Our tagline is care, craft, and community.

00:43We share a common thing, which is crafting.

00:46We all care for one another and we all comfort each other

00:49whenever something happens in our private lives.

00:59A lot of us seem to be introverts.

01:10I can just tell from, you know, just the personalities.

01:13I think this group has helped them become more comfortable,

01:17more confident being in public and knitting in public

01:20and socializing and that sort of thing.

01:29It allows me to disconnect from all the digital stuff

01:33in my life right now.

01:34There's a part of it that becomes automatic.

01:37There's a part of it that says, I am good at this

01:41and I feel comfortable as compared to doing something

01:43that's a struggle and frequently it has an end product.
