00:47we have a lot to be proud of, and we're going back to a country that's extremely proud of

00:51us, and, you know, that means a lot.

01:00Before the games, I made the choice to come out and say that I was gay, and I can't exactly

01:14put my finger on it, but I think it was the best decision I ever made.

01:18I just felt very free heading over to London, and I think I play my best, and am my best

01:23me when I'm doing that.

01:32After this World Cup, we hope that the league is more stable than it was before, and we

01:37hope that the state of women's football is bigger and better than it was before in terms

01:42of, you know, performances by teams, and marketing dollars, and TV rights, and on and on.

02:11We need to do more to make sporting spaces safe for LGBT youth.

02:28A lot of times in women's sports, it's just like bootstraps so hardcore and the budgets

02:45are so tight, like you can't expect to have a business to increase your budget like a

02:50half a percent every year, it's just not going to work.

02:58These things need to be talked about and it's going to take a long time to break down a lot

03:12of the systems that have been ingrained in our culture and society for hundreds of years.

03:17So it's not like one movement or one somewhere where people are excited to talk about it or

03:23one hashtag that goes viral.

03:25We really need sustained conversations, sustained efforts to chip away at these deep grooves

03:32that we have in our culture.
