Baltimore's “rat-infested.” Chicago’s “a total disaster.” They're “screwing up New York.” President Trump has had quite the habit of verbally attacking American cities throughout his career.

00:05I'm very embarrassed by what I see in some of our cities.

00:15You look at different places around our country, St. Louis, Ferguson, Baltimore,

00:20Chicago. This is not the America that was handed down to us.

00:24I think it's a shame what's happening in Chicago.

00:26When you look at Los Angeles, when you look at San Francisco,

00:29Baltimore, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cleveland.

00:31Because we're going to have to do something about Chicago.

00:33Take a look at St. Louis. Horrendous.

00:35Well, at Newark, New Jersey, he ran it right the hell into the ground.

00:39In Chicago, it's terrible. I have property there. It's terrible.

00:42What happened as an example in Oakland was a disgrace to our nation.

00:46I own property in San Francisco. And now areas that you used to think as being,

00:50you know, really something very special, it's terrible.

00:52What the hell is going on in Chicago?

00:54Los Angeles and San Francisco, do you see what's happening to those cities?

00:58Can you even believe it?

00:59I'll tell you, they might be screwing up New York. We got to be careful.

01:17Chicago is worse than some of the countries you read about in the Middle East,

01:46It is completely unacceptable for the president of the United States of America

01:50to use his considerable power and global voice to attack a vibrant American city.
