Mayor of Charlottesville speaks out against President Trump

The mayor of Charlottesville denounced President Trump’s reaction to the violence in his city.

00:00It's now on the president and on all of us to say enough is enough.

00:06I don't want to make this too much about Donald Trump, but he should look in the mirror.

00:09I mean, he made a choice in his presidential campaign, the folks around with him, to, you know,

00:15to go right to the gutter, to play on our worst prejudices, and I think a direct line from what happened here this weekend to those choices.

00:22This is not hard. There's, you know, there's two words that need to be said over and over again,

00:27domestic terrorism and white supremacy. That is exactly what we saw on display this weekend,

00:32and we just aren't seeing leadership from the White House.
