00:00Hackers recently breached Malaysia Airport's holdings Berhar's digital system and demanded

00:07US$10 million, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim revealed today.

00:11Anwar said the incident took place one or two days ago and that the government had refused

00:16to comply with the demand.

00:18Yesterday, we talked about cyber attack and hacking, and it was quite severe in the past few days.

00:31So, the discussion was about how to solve it, including the demand from the hackers

00:40to get the money, US$10 million or whatever.

00:51I didn't wait for five seconds, I kept saying no.

00:56Anwar said that the country's security would be at risk if its leaders succumbed to ultimatums

01:00from criminals, whether domestic or foreign.

01:03However, the Prime Minister provided no further details on the incident, but emphasised the

01:08need for additional funding for the police and the central bank to strengthen their defence

01:12against cyber attacks.
