Hyatt: Sparkling new hotel officially opens in Leeds city centre offering first look at rooftop bar Azotea

A luxurious new hotel with more than 300 bedrooms has welcomed its first lucky guests in Leeds city centre.

00:00I'm Peter Dodd, I'm the General Manager of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House and Azatea

00:04Hacienda Roof Bar and Terrace. Hotel's 305 bedrooms, the first new hotel that's opened

00:11in Leeds for around 15 years of any substance. We're very pleased to have a dual branded hotel

00:16which has long stay apartments, we have our Hyatt Place which is more traditional hotel accommodation

00:23and of course I'm standing in Azatea which is our rooftop bar and terrace. Built on

00:29what was undeveloped land of Leeds City Council to develop the south of the railway lines which

00:36is obviously a very fast doubling part of the city. We've created the menu from the experiences

00:44of our Food and Beverage Director who spent 20 years working in the Latino Crescent down from

00:49Chile and Peru through to the Caribbean so we have a fantastic range of tequilas,

00:55rums. Our food's been created by our culinary delights and consultants so you'll expect a

01:01ceviche which is freshly made through to the churros for your dessert which is a

01:07delightful dip into the rich chocolate sauce that we offer.
