00:04that's why the program was launched

00:06to show the strength of women in Robotics and Programming

00:11this National Women's Month.

00:19If a man can do it, a woman can do it too.

00:22This is proven by these young women

00:25who attended a Robotics Workshop.

00:27According to Christie,

00:28mostly men attend these workshops

00:31so it's a big thing for her to be included here.

00:35It's very proud because it's a rare opportunity.

00:38I'm thankful that they chose this program

00:40because we were able to show our potential

00:43that we can do it as young women.

00:45The goal of the program is to strengthen the interest of women

00:49in the field of technology.

00:51That's why Developers Connect or DEFCON Iligan believes

00:55that women have a big role in strengthening this industry.

00:59In this time of age, technology is not really only for men.

01:04There is also an opportunity especially for women.

01:07And I know women also can create a new technology

01:11that can be used for the future.

01:13This is just one of the programs launched by LGU.

01:16DEFCON is a part of the celebration of National Women's Month.

01:20In the theme of women in all sectors,

01:22tomorrow will be a new day in the new Philippines.

01:25It shows the government's commitment

01:28to provide equal opportunities and recognition

01:32for the contribution of women in all sectors.
