More than 600 Palestinians have reportedly been killed since Israel renewed its attacks on Gaza last week. Among the dead are hundreds of children, while the number of young people in hospitals is also at record levels. CGNT correspondent Elina Al-Yazji reports.  #Palestine #Israel #Gaza #Hamas

00:00Dozens of Palestinian children were killed in the recent Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip,

00:08while hundreds were injured and many remain missing beneath the rubble of their homes.

00:14The home of the Botniji family, who had recently returned to Gaza Strip after being displaced in the south,

00:22was targeted by an Israeli airstrike.

00:25The CGTN team documented the horrific moments that followed as the families searched for their surviving children.

00:35I was bathing my child after hitting the water when we suddenly heard an explosion.

00:40We had nothing with us.

00:42My son, Muayyad, is with me.

00:44This is my daughter.

00:45She's the only one who survived the attack.

00:48My four children were killed in two previous bombings, and this is the third time.

00:55The women of the Botniji family were stunned by the sudden Israeli booming of their home,

01:00leaving them no time to rescue their children, who were playing the Kurd chart.

01:06The children were playing here when we suddenly heard the shelling.

01:10Some of our children were killed, and the others were badly injured.

01:14At the beginning of the conflict, we survived a massacre in Shajia, where many of our family members were killed.

01:21My children who were killed today survived that previous attack.

01:26Children make up nearly half of the Gaza Strip's population and are living in extremely difficult conditions,

01:34and it's under ongoing Israeli shelling.

01:37The number of child victims arriving at hospitals has reached record levels.

01:44We have received a large number of injuries, most of them children.

01:48The nature of the injuries was fatal, especially for children,

01:51as their small bodies cannot withstand this amount of explosives and the brutality of the bombing.
