Justin Baldoni's lawyer is firing back at Blake Lively's attempt to cut herself out of the ongoing legal drama surrounding the film, "It Ends with Us."

00:05In the Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively legal war

00:10I thought a baker's dozen was the man

00:12I think there is no limit, there's no cap on this

00:16The latest one filed by Justin Baldoni against his, I guess you would say,

00:23estranged publicist, Stephanie Jones

00:26Stephanie Jones is technically still his rep because there's a contract they have

00:33But basically they say in these documents that she's the one who started all of this because

00:39They've been saying this for a while

00:41Yes, and now they've actually filed a lawsuit against her

00:44saying that she went into the phone of one of her employees, that she was

00:48What is going

00:49And that's how all this information came out

00:52There are so many lawsuits that this will be millions and millions and millions

00:58and millions and millions of dollars in legal fees

01:01And I don't get it

01:03He is getting his money's worth

01:05And his attorney, Brian Friedman, by the way, in addition to filing that lawsuit

01:09also had something to say about Blake Lively's motion to dismiss

01:15the lawsuit that she filed yesterday

01:17And Brian Friedman believes she is abusing the legal system

01:21He said Ms. Lively's recent motion to dismiss herself from the self-concocted disaster

01:26she initiated is one of the most abhorrent examples of abusing our legal system

01:31Wow

01:32Stringent rules are put into place to protect the innocent

01:35and allow individuals to rightfully defend themselves

01:39Laws are not meant to be twisted and curated by privileged elites

01:43Yeah, she's not going to get this lawsuit dismissed

01:47Nobody's going to get it dismissed

01:48They're all questions for the jury

01:50But Jason, I mean, what is going on here?

01:54I've never seen anything like this

01:56Millions and millions and millions of dollars in legal fees for what?

02:00There's the old adage, right?

02:01In every litigation, there's only two people who win

02:04That's the lawyers for each side, right?

02:05And that's really happening here

02:07Because both of these parties are paying out of pocket

02:09And, you know, they're not doing great jobs

02:12and zealously advocating on behalf of their clients what they should do

02:15But what's the end game for them?

02:17What is the end game?

02:18Justin Baldoni wants to rehabilitate his career

02:22and potentially get a huge judgment

02:25I don't know why, I mean, Blake does not want to admit wrongdoing here

02:29But that's what it's going to take, I think, to make this go away, right?

02:31Some sort of an admission of wrongdoing in a settlement payment

02:33The money's easy

02:35Ryan and Blake have all the money in the world

02:38The hard part is somebody saying, my bad, I'm going to settle this thing

02:43That's the problem, they can't now

02:45They've gone, they've pushed and pushed and pushed

02:46So now they're going to have depositions which are going to be videotaped

04:06Where It Ends With Us was filmed

04:08But her motion to withdraw was in California

04:11Which makes all of this even more questionable

04:13Because the laws in California don't apply to the same laws in New York

04:18Her motion to dismiss was actually filed in a federal court in New York

04:22And I believe it was the Southern District

04:24So, we're honest to God
